MMO is ded edition.

This general is for discussing new and upcoming MMOs, or MMOs with populations that are too small to sustain their own generals.

I play Tera.

Would a set of +10 quadruple gigantic/titan/boned pikes work as basic weapons for a VIT spear knight until I can afford to get more specific ones?

>/revog/ Guilds
There is none

>Steam Group
Steam is a meme

Kill yourself autistic fucking faggot weeb

h-hidoi

>Gorgon has more polish than AQ 3D

CBT3 in 2 days, get hype bros!

Will you finally make your own thread so I can stop with the RevPasta?

>download wakfu
>make an iop because i like swords
>he punches shit instead
I've been lied to.

Everyone in Wakfu is just a mage.

Anyone here plays Lineage?
I don't play it in years, thinking of downloading and trying it again

FRIENDLY REMINDER:

Wakfu is literally one of the very few MMO's worth playing. Go ahead and roll an osamodas in it for extra animal collecting fun. Pick Remington!

Furfags need to fuck off.

They actually don't got that much.

So if I understand correctly the most popular games can be divided into, in descending order:
>pop culture tier: wow
>brand recognition tier: ffxiv, gw2, ffxiv
>f2p on steam tier: tera, neverwinter
>asians breed fast tier: bdo, b&s
Is that right?

Was. It's not been worth playing in years and it's only getting worse with each update.

ffxiv, gw2, swtor*

I'm pretty sure eve is more popular than bdo and b&s, for example.

>brand recognition
>gw2

I honestly have no idea how GW2 is so popular, but it's definitely not brand recognition.
GW1 might as well have not existed as far as GW2 is concerned.

>Spreadsheet Simulator

AAAAAaaaa

It's amazing that it's popular. It's such a shitty, boring game. The spreadsheet isn't the issue, the issue is that every single available task can be mastered in 3 seconds flat and then instead of there being progression, it's just doing the same action on a 1 minute loop for hours upon hours. Even WoW combat at level 1 is more exciting than that.

Turns out the trickster disconnect bug is a known issue that affects many people and there are no known solution beside waiting until shortly after maintenance where it apparently becomes stable for about 2 weeks.

>tfw no LotRO general

I have to get my downtime fix from reddit and I feel filthy

I thought Wildstar was dead? Logged in for abit and see quite a flock of folks running about still.

>shills are literally this desperate
lol

When people say a game is dead, they're obviously exaggerating.
I don't speak for literally everyone, but for some reason a lot of people think anything under 10k in a single server is dead.

LotRO is a shitty wow clone and also dead as fuck anyway.

You say that like there's a good MMO. We all just play different kinds of shit. Mine just happens to be LotR flavoured and yours plain old shit flavour.

I came back recently and while the game isn't dead in the strictest sense of the world, it really FEELS dead, and that's more than enough for make people throw out those exaggerations. The main cities feel like ghost towns, queues take from several minutes upon hours to pop and the only chat zone that seems to have a fair amount of activity is the housing chat.

Hell, there's also steam stats people can go off of that shows how active the game is. I mean, how can anyone look at these stats and tell say with all honesty that this is the sign of a healthy game?: steamcharts.com/app/376570

>*strictest sense of the word

Fix'd

>steamcharts on a game that's launched outside of steam
Japan Tera has one player playing on Steam right now

>spent 2b in a week
Fucking inflation. Atlantica needs money sinks.

It still serves as a valid indication to the game's playerbased considering how popular Steam is the west and how some players could have ditched the non-steam client for the convienece of having their steam social features available.

Still if folks don't trust the numbers, they're still free to log in and see how active the game is for anyone that isn't dedicated raider or housing fanatic.

Wildstars state of undying was obvious, hell, the general itself had like 10 devs that got fired that shared horror stories of shitty management and braindead co-workers.

Yes, I remember that thread, although I first heard the horror stories on reddit and neogaf. I wish I saved the links, though.

With the recent server merges and the devs ditching Turbine, it's looking good. Towns are alive and you meet quite some people when questing now and Mordor is coming out soon

>TERA is more active than Wildstar

Fucking kill me

>308 playing an hour ago
>591 24-hour peak
>5,040 all-time peak

Does that really surprise you?

No, it just disappoints me.

What's the best MMO currently available?

Tera

Elsword! It has the most variety of classes, and everyone know more is better!
Is there a worse game?

Is this the worst general

...

money comes and go, you barely needs money until lvl 110 anyway after that a shit chicken fart you crafted can sell for millions because everybody is too lazy to craft their own low-level stuff.

TBS is free money, selling merc summoning marbles might allow you to make 10b per week easily, farming skirmishes with a good jackpot is another way to create money out of thin air.

there's always wowg, ksg, xivg
there's probably more

i don't need that, have it back friend

/elyg/ is a nice new addition to the shit bucketlist, although that's a bit unfair considering private server generals have literally never ever been good

I don't want it.

I'm still level 90. I bought a crap ton of jewels to upgrade my mercs.
And I didn't even start yet on Rin, Necormancer and Warlord.
Also still didn't buy any skill books.

o shit i forgot about wpsg
my god that place was awful thanks to 2-3 autists, like that one scatposter

Me. I am the worst general

Is TERA worth playing in terms of gameplay?

it's okay.

wpsg gets better when a new meme or non meme server gets released.
/tesg/ on the other hand is the absolute bottom of the barrel shitposting/waifuposting central every day every year.

Does someone want to suffer with me and play some APB Reloaded? I suddenly feel like shooting things in a shit game. Any server is fine.

no, its shit

How's Albion online?

yes, it's amazing

It's a video game currently in beta that you need to pay for. I don't think anyone here will be able to tell you what it's like. At least I hope that people on Veeky Forums learned not to buy into that sort of shit anymore.

Are there any shooter MMOs that are at least decent?
I can only stand to play Defiance on rare occasions and was hoping there was something out there I could play more often.

Is Lineage Eternal going to be any good?

This "event" will be just like the Norse one.

I can count the number of time I've seen the skins on my hands.

Wrong thread.

Heroes & Generals
MechWarrior Online
Overwatch
Escape from Tarkov
Warframe

That's it right now

Fuck, I used the wrong word. I meant shooter MMORPGs.

are there any mmorpgs like the ones in my light novels

Uhhh... Rust? Star Citizen someday.

Yea, there's plenty of absolute dog shit MMOs.

I have never played Ragnarok is it okay if I start off on a private server?

Sure, you'll get bored and quit in a few days anyways.

Might as well enjoy a high exp rate.

private servers offer the modern MMO experience filled with benefits, handholding and "convenience"

real servers have a big sign next to them that says "you fucking missed it"

rolling for a private server to pick and waste time on

0-Aion
1-Cabal Online
2-DAOC
3-Flyff
4-Gunz
5-Last Chaos
6-Lineage II
7-Luna Online
8-Metin2
9-Mu Online
dubs-Perfect World
trips-Rappelz
quads-RF Online

oh man I was this close to lineage II, last chaos is dogshit

Play it anyways.

Nobody here will know.

I will and I will judge that user forever for not playing what he rolled for.

Why aren't you playing the best PvP MMORPG out right now, /mmog/?

returnofreckoning.com/

Holy shit, that garbage actually had enough of a following for someone to make a private server?

they fixed the balancing issues, it's actually fun now that you dont get permastunned by bright wizards

>best PvP MMORPG
Does it still have the same old boring combat system? Then it can't be the best PvP MMORPG.

JUST

do swordmasters work yet?

you mean being able to change stance? yes.

2 more days until RevOnline 3CBT

The game play is very enjoyable and you will most likely have fun leveling.

Lucid dreaming maybe?

>generic koreashit #4393439434

[Sarcasm 10] wow im so excited

Also here is the pastebin for RevOnline.
pastebin.com/g1GCU1Fi

>koreashit

I'd fuck an Elin.

/terag/ is the place for you. Here we talk about the game. /terag/ is for lewdposting and erp.

That new class coming out is totally just Lynn from Vindictus.

>Vindictus.
speaking of vindictus, is it the only action oriented mmo that is meant to be played with a controller ?

To bad I only play Amani. One day they will make a Amani only class.

no

...

>One day they will make a Amani female only class.
At least that sounds possible, although still unlikely.
