Druids are easily one of the most sought after PvP classes. They're flat out the best flag runner in the game. Easily one of the best 1v1 classes in the game.
However, the catch is that you don't just DPS people down in cat form or train them down like pure DPS classes. Your damage is decent but you have to play around being a jack of all trades. You open in cat form, dot them up or hit your hard hitting abilities, then proceed into bear form and slowly but surely out sustain them by rotating stuns and heals.
They're VERY versatile, the PvP Feral/Resto talent combo have 4 or 5 different versions and then you got people using either feral or resto gear.
Balance can work out but is nothing impressive, you got some good burst, but you might as well just have played a mage which isn't going to run OOM at the same rate.
So basically for PvP you're good to go.
For PvE people mostly want you to heal and while healers are sought after, druids is probably the worst of them. That's not saying you got no place, it's not bad, you will be needed due to Inntervate and CR and because you got the strongest HoT's in the game.
Moonkin really have no place at all in PvE, you MIGHT be lucky and get a perm spot in Naxxramas due to fire mages really going off here and the %crit you give is very good. However, it's not set in stone to use a moonkin druid even then, like a shadow priest will most likely 100% be used after the ZG patch. Moonkin druids run out of mana quickly and you would need to use Innervate on yourself in most encounters.

Feral DPS is probably your best bet however it is most likely also the hardest DPS spec to play in the game, it revolves around a niche way of playing by using the level 4x something BoE blue headpiece that gives you energy or rage, depending on what form you're shift into. That paired with the similar talent in resto will change the DPS rotation into you dumping all your energy then powershifting (Shift out and into the desired form again) to instantly get 60-80 energy back, depending on whether or not you can time it with the energy tick. It's easily the most complex way of playing, out of any DPS out there and if played perfectly you can rival some of the bottom pure DPS classes like Hunters. That being said, you shouldn't count on getting a spot as a feral DPS.
Tank is decent for end game dungeons and easily the best/most desired for that. However warriors start being better for raids. That being said, a feral tank still have a spot, but not over a warrior.
If you roll druid, prepare to be a healer/feral tank for PvE and Healer/Feral DPS/Flag Runner for PvP.

You will not have a hard time finding a spot for raids/dungeons/PvP if you join for the roles mentioned above. As soon as you try to join a dungeon/raid as Feral DPS people will shit themselves and you will most likely be declined, but the people that actually know how Feral PvE DPS works might give you a chance, since it is actually decent, not insane, but just decent.
This is my own personal opinion. I've been raiding and will raid on the new server in a top-tier guild as feral which will be a jack of all trades if feral Tank/DPS is not a option on some raid nights, where I will resort to healing.
I tried to be as real and objective as possible.
