Name one parts number of that engine used by a Ferrari

Name one.

We'll wait.

It's tuned by Ferrari, but it's an alfa V6.

The Alfa Romeo nose isn't any better than the Edsel.

They both look terrible.

Quite a stretch to call it a Ferrari engine, it's not in any Ferrari and it's not assembled in Modena (I think they are assembled in the US but not sure)

Show me a more iconic front end.

Any BMW or Pontiac

It's a derived Ferrari F154 engine

FCA would be Veeky Forums's favorite company by far, instantly, if they unfucked their reliability.

Same engine as the California T, 488 and GTC lusso except they removed two cylinders

So a Chevy Astro 4.3 comes stock with a Corvette engine?

The con rod bearings and hex bolts.

this thing is going to depreciate to less than $25k instantly because of the 5 figure repairs it's gonna need.

see
>e60 m5

If it was derived from the original then yes, same layout, same components, except they cast a 6 cylinder block

you mean fiat engine

BMW maybe, Pontiac went ugly instead of keeping it a split grill.

Originally I was going to save up for the next 3 years to buy a Cadillac because I really liked the last gen Cadillac aesthetics.

Now I know I'm going to save up for a 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti. It's sexy and beautiful. That vertical grille is so goddamn timeless.

Pontiac just became Lincoln. Look at the new Lincoln front. It also looks very similar to a BMW.

Gto knockoff no thanks

It's the best four door car.

What's a GTO?

I want one it's a four door family sedan godmachine it posted the same time as a gt350r which Veeky Forums loves on the nurburgring I can take the family out for dinner and later make wrx vapelords/ricers salty

I love alfas but I'm also a massive poorfag so any alfa of any year is unattainable

Agreed. They have great designs, but DOGSHIT construction.

On paper, looks great.
Time will if it's a giant pile of shit or if the Italians finally got their act together.

Then yes.
>TIL that I learned to drive in a Corvette inspired Chevy Venture

If you currently own a car in running condition with air conditioning, you can afford an Alfa Romeo Spyder.
It'll be a pile of shit, but it's an alfa
>satisfy your meme you Veeky Forumstist

...

But what sort of strange quirks does it have?

Do you have a column on autotrader where I can read about these quirks?

All the engines are produced in Italy at FCA's production site in Termoli

Block, rods, heads. It's the exact same thing as used in the California T.

The Alfa (Busso/Arese) V6 has been dead for well over a decade now. The V6 in the Giulia is a Ferrari F154-derived unit (hence the 90 degree bank angle).

how block rods and head can be same as california t , if ferrari california t is V8 and alfa is V6 ?

Block and heads can be identical, just with a set of cilinders in the middle removed. Rods should bolt right in.

It is also the new Dino engine

>Block and heads can be identical, just with a set of cilinders in the middle removed.
>Identical
>Similar in every detail; exactly alike
The block and heads are not identical. They may have some similarities (ie, bore, stroke) but they are not identical. 6 is not the same as 8.

There is a strong possibility that the rods are the same however.

i think you have just fallen on good old meme called marketing , "ferrari made engine" sounds good but do you really want anything related ferrari really on car anyway ? not really since i would like my car last atleast 30 000 km before engine blowing up

nice memes user

Every Alfa Romeo should come with a foldable electric scooter in the trunk.

This way they can balance their reliability issues a bit.

Pretty sure this offers more fun per buck.

issue is that electric scooter would prolly break down too, especially since alfa is infamous of electric problems

...

They should outsource it to some korean or japanese company.

well better, but its better have 2 of those ,in case first one breaks too

Ferrari offers a 7-year warranty you stupid idiot.

Show me statistics! Ferrari isn't unreliable!

Actually Alfa officially says this engine was developed by them, in a joint venture with a Ferrari engineer. They don't say it's a Ferrari engine, reviewers say that.
Get your facts straigh, fag.

Are you retarded niggers aware of the fact that in 2017 electric parts and shit are outsourced by every maker?

They just buy the same parts as you get in a Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, etc..

Stop living in memes goddamned retards, you're ridiculous and disrespectful.

Idiots falling for automotive journalists bait.

((((ferrari)))) pentastar

I can virtually guarantee that the construction, wall thickness, and such on the block is exactly like the V8. Also, combustion chamber, valvetrain - everything that makes the head function - will be identical in design, except for the scaling from 8 to 6.

So you are actually happy about the fact a manufacturer who makes sporty and exciting cars dies?

No.

They're not made on the same factory neither they use the same tooling.

I've been involved in the assembly of the production line and I can guarantee this. The Alfa V6 has no connection to the Ferrari engine other than some know-how.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfa_Romeo_Giulia_(952)

Nice fiat, I'm sure it wont break down.

>auto only
It's shit

>fca
no thanks

info on pic???

k faggot
it would destroy your shitbox

better than a Lexus, that's all that counts

Who told you that bullshit? I test drove a manuel 2 weeks ago.

It is a tasteless fatty ugly piece of shit though.

I'm already in love. Sorry Madeira, but I'm selling you in 3 years and getting Julia.

delet

>I know nothing about the car industry but love to meme around

>Generic soap bar

At least Lexus has it's own identity.

Looks like shit anyway.

What country are you in? Last I heard burgers were only getting slushboxes.

this tbqh femme. what's the point of buying an italian car if it just looks like an m3 with a different nose?

Is that some disney shit?
Being unique is not ugly

The Wrong Trousers :D

>35 psi from the factory
what could go wrong?

>At least Lexus has it's own identity.

yeah what the fuck is this

I sat in one at the dealer. Honest to god, the interior switches are all out of a VW Golf.

It's heavier and more expensive than an M3. I don't think it looks nearly as good as an M3. Aftermarket and community support will be absolute shit compared to an M3. I'd take an M3

The best rape
In the world

What if
I lease it?

It's lighter, cheaper, has more power, sounds better and is faster than the M3.

you must like audi and vw

>i can drive really fast in a straight line
>but only when it's on smooth pavement, warm, and the weather is perfecg
ayy lmao

Rather have the Lexus.

Except that it's lighter and cheaper you fucking autist.

Damn you are extremely ignorant

Looks great but for a poorfag like me the 350 or the 280 hp engines would be already quite expensive to own and maintain.

Also
>fiat shitty reliability
Is it a meme or is it still relevant ?

It was relevant in the 90's and early 00's, but it became a meme. They had a lot of electronic and build quality issues but the electronics are outsourced and the build quality became much better.

The M3 rivaling Giulia Quadrifoglio costs $73.595
Base M3 costs $64.495
M3 F80 weighs 1520kg
Giulia weights 1524kg

Base M3 is basically an empty shitbox and you know that. Giulia is full-equipped.

>implying it's possible to find more obscure cars like that in the salt belt

full-equipped? Lol alfa fanboys lying on the internet again
The Giulia doesn't even have full leather heated seats as standard, the M3 does.
You need the additional "luxury pack" to get full leather seats on the Alfa

>full leather

It has leather alcantara as standard and optional the Sparco racing carbon seats

Also there isn't an online configurator in the American Alfa Romeo website, so...

Everyone knows it's a Ferrari derived engine. I'm just saying Alfa doesn't officially say that.

Lies. The Quadrifoglio has leather-alcantara seats standard (with electrical option) OR Carbon-Sparcos.

Leather-alcantara is not full-leather. You have to pay extra for the Luxury pack to get full leather seats.
Also the M3 has heated seats as standard, the Giulia not

You're such a dumb motherfucker it's unbelievable...

There are !THREE! seat-possibilities.
1.Two options for the Q: leather-alcantara sport-seats or the Carbon-Sparcos (which are also leather-alcantara) both with/without electrical-option.
2. One for the Normal and Super (cloth or full-leather -no sportseats!)
3. One for the Veloce (Ti): normal sportseats from the Q but with full-leather option.

Idiot.

Pic: Veloce-seats

Quadrifoglio Sparcos

Quadrifoglio standard-sportseats (no extra costs!)

>spyder
>obscure
lol

>not traveling to get the car you want

Also let's say that past the first leather option, the leather trim included in the luxury pack of this car is made out from Poltrona Frau leather which is the same you can find in Maserati and Ferrari cars.

Absolutely spectacular quality, one of the best leather you can buy together with Lexus one.

At BMW you have to pick from 850 different leather grades which is confusing as fuck and if you don't know what you're picking you could buy some shitty leather like the Dakota. Nappa is nice for example.

In Alfa you have to choose from cloth leather mix, full leather and Poltrona Frau with is included only in the luxury pack which also gives a nice set of woods to choose from.

That is a gorgeous interior, holy shit.

its great. test drove it here in poorope. but id much rather stick with a german. currently selling my 535d and considering this.
>inb4 lol bmw reliability
the humble diesel never failed me for 45k miles that ive done on it

I test drove the 2.2L Jtdm 180 hp and to be fair paired to that 8 speed ZF auto, it was smooth with good kick down and driving it through the worst maintained roads in the UK the giulia is quite comfortable, though I want the petrol Super.

To compare I drive the 1.9L Alfa 159, the car has its quirks, like being quite heavy upfront so loves to pitch its nose hard into corners which means grip in the rear tends to let go in the right conditions and the interior though still nice to sit in, compared to the cars I drive day in, day out it is feeling its age with the lack of certain features.
