What 70's/80's car didn't have problems with cracking dashboards? Living in Texas I've seen an example of just about everything with a cracked padded dashboard.

Owned several nissans, I haven't had a problem with any of those. I don't have a z31, but I kind of feel sorry for it getting shit on all the time and 80's wedges are cool. It doesn't matter if it's any good when I can buy one that runs ok for less than 2 grand and have some fun with it before it dies.

One of the few cars that looks great stock. I intended to do the jspec bumper, skirts, etc on mine when I bought it. After a year, I am perfectly happy with the stock body instead. Some non flashy 17" wheels and a small drop is all they need.

Now let's compare z32 multi link rear suspension design to the fc's trailing arms lol.

Also stamped steel ensures the arm bends on impact instead of the force being transferred to the subframe or unibody. The arm only has to be strong enough for normal operation.

Mazda control arms bend under impact. The arm has to be strong enough not to flex under normal operation. Flex causes poor handling characteristics.
