Bannerlord is gonna suck lad. Taleworlds is so afraid of commitment or risk for their precious game that Bannerlord is going to be the most boring and bland game in existence.

A new engine doesn't do much on its own. For most of us, Bannerlord will be exactly that, an updated version of Warband. Modders will prolly get more out of that updated engine but for players this won't really matter other than perfomance and graphics as well as sieges that maybe won't suck.

I'd love a "sandbox" component that allowed us to construct random shit on the world map, like roads, outposts, hamlets and villages that may eventually grow into cities and shit, super expensive castles that no lord can really afford to build, etc.

Walls are probably useless in a game like this.

It's not like anything game changing was added to PooP. I have about 50 hours in PooP across the 3 versions I've played, and I have no opinion one way or another about it. It's nice but I just don't find it as fun as say Gekokuju, 1257, or TLD

/mbg/ help me out here, I'm playing 1257AD and out of nowhere I find out that I'm the lord of Kars, a city that was under the control of the II-Khante.

I'm just a mercenary for England, and I don't know how the khans lost this city that's leagues away from England nor why I the fuck it was given to me.

When am I ready to become a vassal in poop? Got ~250 renown, 11 honor, 6k income, and 150k in my inventory with about 90 trained troops/followers. I'm working on getting 15 honor, but other than that I'm not sure what I should do.

Any back water idiot can become a vassal with the minimum renown requirement. The real problem is that being a mercenary is objectively superior to being a nobody vassal with a backwater village that is constantly getting raided.

The only thing that requires preparation is becoming a king.
