Yes. At the Altars (bonfires) you can open up your world to co-op/look for an open world to help someone out. PvP seems to be only based around revenants at launch. Revenants are bloodstains from DaS, but you can straight up summon the player who died to fight their AI and steal their shit. It has more than just souls like summoning. You can also enter a matchmaking system, team up with someone and enter a stage together. If you do that then the coop session doesn't end when someone dies, instead you can revive each other a limited amount of times.
