Who told you that? This is simply the best experience you'll ever get from reading VNs. You may also want to look into Zero Escape series (the best games I've ever played), which in it's turn is a life-changing experience too. Ever17 is a splendid VN too, have you read it? If not, do so, and only then immediately start reading R11, as both of these VNs share somewhat similar ideas and concepts.

In addition to that, there is one more Ever17-esque VN which is Japanese only, but you might be interested by it - Dei Gratia no Rashinban (vndb.org/v16435), praised by many as "a homage to Ever17". You might also want to read it after completing some of the Infinity series iterations.

not much to show. it's on launch. start game from the launcher, in-game cursor pops up for a second then gives the mystery error and dies. running as admin, happens in both locales, tried changing dir name, updating drivers/directx

Also if you didn't have any problem with G-sen's twist as many did when the fan translation initially came out you'll probably like Sharin's much better because Sharin handles foreshadowing much much better.
