I don't mind people coming into the scene, but I don't like people who don't bring anything into it and are just here because it's "popular".
Redeye made an effort to keep up with the meta and all the players and teams and recent tourney results while someone like Kaci only reads liquipedia 2 weeks before TI and just shows up.
I didn't like him as a SC2 personality because his shows weren't actually about Starcraft, but they were about himself. That's why he called it the "Day9" show. That's why he would pause replays and then switch the screen over to himself and tell an unfunny anecdote every 5mins.
This was more obvious when he would just stop hosting smaller events and only show up for Blizzcon to get his paycheck, then disappear to other hosting gigs for other games for the year.

His last SC2 hosting gig at Blizzcon '15 was horrible. He was so obviously estranged from the scene that he had nothing to talk about and did just transition stuff.
