You don't get the big dick numbers that BLM's do, but the gameplay is a lot more fluid and enjoyable.
BRD is more useful but it's good to have both in case your party already has another BRD.

None of it is particularly hard, really. Mostly just time consuming so if you can spare a bit of that, you're golden.
The dun scaith stuff is pretty cool, for example the healer set has a cool aesthetic to it.
You could also farm some of the alex or primal gear for glamours if you get lucky with queues/party finder.
