There was a popular theory going on about the Kinkou order and the Ionian government in general being secretly malicious or evil. Before the Noxus war happened, the Kinkuo and the Ionian council might've 'created' their own demons and villains as a means to maintain their beliefs in "balance" - IE -generate control over the masses. That's why the Kinkou order were secretly hiding that demonic box in the first place, or why Shen's father insisted that Jhin be kept alive. Shen's father then spilled the beans to Zed and this was the last straw for him; which is why Zed considers The Kinkou order and the Ionian govt. to be a bunch of BS now. This is further supported by Jhin being set free again by the Ionian council, just to kill their targets and create terror wherever he goes.

But then the Ionian War happened, giving the country a true taste of war and evil.

It's just a theory though, but a good one.

Rate my shitty champ. He's a Turtle who walks on two legs and is supposed to be a tanky fuck.

Passive: Turtle Knight takes 10%/20%/30% reduced damage from enemies from behind who attack his shell. His shell can be broken by dealing 10%/20%/25% of his max hp within 4 seconds. His shell regenerates back every 120/90/60 seconds, but killing an enemy or assisting in a kill reduces the cooldown by a flat 30 seconds. Returning back to base automatically regenerates his shell

Q: Turtle Knight bites his opponent within 300 range, dealing damage and stunning enemy champions who have a stack of 'fatigue' for 1 second, if the enemy has two stacks of fatigue, Turtle regains 5% of his max hp.. Stunning an enemy reduces the cooldown of the ability by 60%. Enemies who have been stunned by Q cannot be stunned again for another 5 seconds.

W: Turtle jumps straight into the air and back down, landing after 1.5 seconds, being able to slightly change his landing zone during this time, dealing damage to everyone below. Enemies who are struck by the impact are applied with a stack of fatigue for 2 seconds and slowed

E: Turtle retreats into his shield and begins to spin. After 1 second of spinning, Turtle flies in a short, straight line, knocking up enemies who are struck for .5 seconds and applying a stack of fatigue to them for 2 seconds. If Turtle does not have his shell when he uses this ability, enemies will not have a stack of fatigue applied to them.

R: Turtle Knight gets on all fours, and increases his shield strength, making it unbreakable for 8 seconds and Turtle receives the bonus resistances no matter where his enemy attacks him. During this time, an ally may jump on top of Turtle, and ride together. The ally will receive the Turtles bonus resistances and will be bound to where Turtle moves, and Turtle will block all incoming skillshots for his ally. Turtle can only use his R if his shell is not on cooldown.

What's the design philosophy behind manaless champs?
Initially I thought it was centered around the idea of lane-bullies or snowballing champs, having high base damages on but quickly falling off mid-game when mana-using champs get their second completed item, but that's just not the case. I've seen an 0/5 Katarina jump into a fight and pick up a quadra kill with nothing but a gunblade and sorc boots. Yasuo scales infinitely because of his free armor pen and affinity with crit damage, in fact I'd say Yasuo is a far more dangerous late game champ than most everything else, save for Vayne or Jhin.

I want to say it applies to Lee Sin, but even he doesn't fall off much anymore if he just builds half-tank, because his abilities are on such low cooldowns that he can always be relevant initiation, and he has heavy sustain thanks to his free lifesteal and escapes. Rek'sai also has ridiculous amounts of sustain for a champ that doesn't really have to worry about anything other than tunnel placement, and she can potentially be the best split-pusher in the game. What's the point of a discrepancy between mana and manaless champs if it doesn't seem to affect anything, and in fact manaless champs seem to be the best at their roles half the time? How long will it be until we start getting manaless ADCs?

I would like at least 2 more lanes of dialogue please.

That used to heavily be the case. Zed, Katarina, Lee, Rengar, etc. would all basically be useless past the 25 minute mark, even if they were fed as fuck. Riot's stopped thinking about balance since S3 though, and they're just obsessed with "DUDE THE BIG PLAYS XD" so there's no sense of balance or niche anymore. Every champ is designed to do everything because that's easier to balance for pro play.

I saw a diamond Vlad OTP go 20/5 and triple kill in enemy spawn (and survive). It restored my faith in the porcelain rod. Maybe he will be busted when buffs come.

Allegedly, manaless champs have higher "skill ceilings," but that's just Riot's buzzword speak for "this champ rapes absolutely everything but sometimes you die if you try to fight the entire enemy team by yourself."

It's entirely for the LCS. It's an absolute blight on the actual game that millions of people play, but for LCS it just makes the game look flashy because you're guaranteed to always have something happening if a champ doesn't have any limitations on how often they can act.

Vlad got nerfed both directly AND indirectly so that's why people think he is shit.

What you lack is an overall red thread. If you make the champ around the shell mechanic, incorporate it. Riot is a dumb fucking company that sacrifices unique identity for power creep. Camille has no identity. Ekko has no identity. Champs like Illaoi, Ivern and, unironically, Yasuo barely have an identity, but it's there. Right now, your champion is yet another addition to the power creep.

If you make a turtle tank, make some sacrifices and have it revolve around the shell. Let me make one possible example, one that's still stupid but tries to demonstrate my point.

Remove all cc applications if the shell is broken. That means stun on Q, slow on W, knock up on E. The turtle without it's shell is still able to use abilities, but they need to be useless. Screw the kill/assist cooldown bonus. You're not making an assassin. Make the shell regen dependent on the stacks and make them more like a cash in, like after 3 hits.

You can do other things with the shell do. Why destroy it? Turtle shells are sturdy and having an empty shell around is iconic? Why don't you just drop it and make picking it back up part of the regen process?
