The anime got me into the games for what it's worth. It made R;B1 hard for me because I really liked the sisters and having to play a whole game without them was hard.

Also I'm 50 hours into VII and just got to when Uzume betrays everyone and nepgear is the protag

RB1 is optional but recommended, I would play through at least two and three before watching the anime. Then VII.

i assume you're asking about one of the re;births, where lily rank is based on being paired up together (one in the main party and one in the back).

in v-ii, it's based on being in the main party frontline together and goes up faster from beneficial skills/items used on eachother.

I like VII Neptune, but I really have a soft spot in my heart for RB1 Neptune. I feel like that was nep-nep at her best. She wasn't around enough in rb2, in rb3 she had grown complacent and selfish/lazy, VII nep was good but i dunno. It felt like she had more purpose in rb1 that didn't revolve around other people

VII is best everyone and everything, really. I played RB3 and gosh, the writing in there really stinks in comparison. I've only played RB1, VII, and RB3 in that order so I haven't experienced RB2's stuff yet

The 4 CPU routes mid-game were wonderful, especially Noire's and Vert's. The Lastation sisters are magical, and Nepgear was a great foil/secondary protagonist and partner for Vert to develop, just like with Uzume. It's kinda too bad Blanc's route wasn't as good for her or the twins

I dunno. I like Neptune's backstory in HDN1/RB1 as a former unsufferable, arrogant bitch that completely changes after a concussion, but I like the implications in VII that Neptune is a lot smarter than everyone think.
She's still probably completely inept at the whole "lead Planeptune" thing.

I'l still annoyed at how often it fucks up with your battles and your party but the writing is a lot better and the gameplay is a lot more enjoyable compared to the Rebirths.

Depends which ones. The oracles in RB3 are OP as fuck and will oneshots most monsters.
Shit characters like mages are still OP, but shit.
And yeah, they do get "better", but ultimately, it just boils down to >muh opinion.
Because RB2 replaces the main character and is pretty dark, and RB3 has all characters being bitches and changes how SP works.
