Previous Thread Dominions is a fantasy turn-based war game created by two dudes. One of them is a teacher.

The game combines a simple presentation with an extremely wide array of strategic options, including over 2800 units, 800 spells and 300 magic items. Turns are resolved simultaneously, with players planning battles rather than directly controlling them.

It has simplistic graphics but is easily moddable and extremely deep.

Basically, it's an autist’s wet dream of a war game.

Can't use an oracle as a late game SC. This is much less easily countered.

If you have S9 you can get to tarts using rings pretty easily, just need some empowerment.

No native death access, and I'd rather empower my wind lords with death anyway to give them fear.

What does this mean in lore terms? That horrors from the astral plane can't perceive the underworld?

Chances are you're a lot more boring to them while you're decomposing, so they look elsewhere for their amusement.

Is this okay for summod MA Man?

I'd drop misf and bump dominion+magic for better research, but it's pretty good as it is.

Don't really have any free points to play with.
Dominions is overrated with Man's cheap tembles.

It limits the number of monks researching per lab, though.

Uh, no. They're cheaper than scouts (taking upkeep into account) and can scout, research and stealth-preach. Why wouldn't you utilize them?

Also, Solar Eagle allows you to get +1 scale and +1 dom. Do you need E2 and/or titan chassis?

No I'm a dumbass. I thought it would help my national mages with earthboots, but they can already craft them by themself.

Although a titan chasis is nice for a defensive SC. Might prefer the better scales though.

An early game SC is very valuable. I'd say to keep it

Also A4 opens up ait boosters much earlier as an A4 crone could take forever. I'll drop the E2 to it base E1 value and get another point of dominion though.

What sort of strategies work against the massed devils that come out of mid/late soul contract strats? Assuming level 6-7 of everything, but no demonic cleansing and so on. The dude I'm fighting is using vamp lords to lead them too, but hasn't been casting Darkness with them.

summod gives them fire shield, so they're really good against skelespam now. I also don't really have great D access, though I can get a mound fiend with a stick to cast the Rigor Mortis if I can find other workable blockers

How does Snek look? His purpose is to sitesearch and eventually construct rings for the purpose of Gift of Health and Tarts.

You spent a TON on those paths. I'd look and see what you want to do with them in the mid game too, or make it imprisoned. Or just drop some points.

Personally I prefer scales C'tis.

It looks like you're trying to put way too much shit on one pretender, and your scales are terrible because of it.

F1 - gives a fire booster along with death, but you need at least F2 to summon flame spirits and properly break into fire.

A2 - I don't know what your plan is for this scale. Why take air magic, just gems?

W1 - you get this natively. Is there a crosspath you need it on yuour pretender for?

E2 - this is good, I like it.

S7 - excessive, S5 is sufficient if you just want rings, S6 is sufficient if you want to reach S9 rituals.

D5 - this is also fine, but c'tis has one of the easier paths to tarts already. I'm not sure if you need your pretender to be built to summon them too, especially when you have rings available.

N5 - I see no need for this, unless you plan to rush Mother Oak (which is almost certainly a terrible idea).

It's not a summod change. They just have different applicable commands.

C'tis really needs the scales. I wouldn't build my strategy on the hopes that no one will attack me during the first three years considering how strong lategame C'tis has, especially in your case.

MA C'tis are pretty good.

The problem with cyber-bullying are not some hurtful messages sent to the bullied kid. They can be ignored or usually tracked. The modern social bullying which include "bully target groups", groups where people share compromising material/stories about the bullied person and spread them to the bullied person's acquintances/school mates are the core of the problem. Combine this with the cameraphones and you have things like secretly filming the bullied ones in locker rooms and semi-public lists of people you are not allowed to associate with. The bullied ones can't even escape physical bullying by withdrawing somewhere, as their location is frequently updated in the bully groups.

And as usual, the older teachers are idiots who like to pretend that this isn't happening to keep their bust polished and parents do the usual "There is no way our John could be doing this, he is such a good boy etc."

That's just traditional bullying with social media aid, not full on cyberbullying.

I'm thinking I might go harder on scales if snek seems to path-heavy. I only really put thought into Astral, Death and Nature. If I don't use snek to cast Gift of Health will a high-level N caster be a pain in the ass to get my hands on? Will I need a Couatl?

IIRC C'tis native N access is good enough to boost up to GoH. You an get thistle mace and moonvine bracelet.

N2 marshmaster with boosters (any two of: thistle mace, moonvine, RoS, RoW) = N4

Use N4 to summon ivy king (n3 caster). It's in conjuration 7, so you should have it well before you get tarts.

Ivy King with 3 boosters is N6, enough to cast GoH.

How does revised snek please /domg/?

Turmoil 3, Sloth 1, Heat 3, Growth 3, Luck 3, Magic 2 would be better scales for the same cost, imo.

Sloth 1 expansion should still be doable, slave warriors are very low resource cost and expand pretty well.

Do you really want Snek mage specifically? You could get slightly cheaper (probably enough for a point of dominion) by going to a human with S base path rather than nature.

About pretender chassis, does the pretender on ma ctis need poison resist?

Best other option would be Order 2, Sloth 1, Heat 3, Growth 3.

It gets more gold, but I don't think that's worth losing magic scales when your lategame plan is rushing tarts.

Poison resist would only matter if you're deploying them in combat, and in that case you can buff them with poison resist. In any case, the cheapest option for your paths is the Great Sauromancer, who does come with poison resist.
