take for example you go into a server and enable buddha mode. you wont be able to die but you can take damage. you will be able to flare jump, until you reach too low of health. this is because the way knockback works for weapons like that is based on damage you take. so the only reason detonator lets you flare jump is because you take +50% damage to self. that paste removed that so if that were real it wouldn't work any longer

Damage resistance gained from outside sources DOES reduce explosive jumps' distance, but the innate resistance classes like soldier and demo have doesn't. The change would grant the pyro that same innate resilience
