I got Neptunia VII with some spare gift cards, and I have to ask: when does the game get exciting? It's ok so far and the story's pretty fun but I still have bad memories of grinding in Victory. I'm in the Umio dungeon.

I don't get it. If you don't have fun watching the neps do their thing, then why play nep games? What are you expecting?

I've never played a nep game but I'm in the mood for a game with cute girls and I like some JRPG gameplay so I'm interested in nep 7. I have a few questions about the gameplay:

1) Is it one of those games where you pick one team of characters and stick with them or are you encouraged to change up your party for different boss fights?
2) Will I be OK if I just use the cutest characters?
3) Do you generally just spam your strongest attacks and heal or is there more to the gameplay?
4) Do you need to fight lots of worthless random enemies or can you just fight mostly boss fights?

I don't know what post you're quoting because it appears to be deleted. However, one thing real quick: It's not Neptunia 7. It is Neptunia V-2. As in Neptunia Victory 2, since it's the direct sequel to Neptunia Victory (remade on the PC as Re;Birth 3)

As for your questions..

1) You have different parties at different parts of the story. At one point, you are given the choice of playing through three separate scenarios, each of which have you playing with different parties from the pool of total characters in the game. Then the characters come together and you get to choose.

2) You can just use the cutest characters if you want when you have the choice. Or just pick the ones you like. You'll be fine.

3) You don't want to use your strongest skills in every battle because they take SP. A lot of the time you will be using "combos" which are regular attacks that you set up in the menu screen based on the weapon you have equipped and such.

4) You don't HAVE to fight lots of random battles, but you might find yourself under leveled if you don't. Most of the enemies are visible on screen and can be avoided.
