This is a general about all Zelda games, mainline and spin-offs like Hyrule Warriors, and all discussions related to the LoZ series. All Breath of the Wild discussions are welcome.
Another new bread, another new edition of "learn2Hylian" from HylianAnon.
In tonight's lesson, we learn the word for something that there is 120 of, and that will have puzzles and PHYSICS in them as we collect shit in them.

Brandon Scott
Shoulda waited for new thread, gonna repeat myself now. What are everyones top 5 tracks from any zelda game, spin off included? Heres mine: -BoTW Story Trailer -Fi's Departure -Koloktos/Moldarach -Ballad of the Wind Fish -Molgera from HW Legends
Leo Edwards
All of it.
Elijah Watson
Autism.
Jaxon Lee
I'm partial to: - Farewell Hyrule King - Gerudo Valley - Boss: Blizzetta - Whatever that piano track was in BotW trailer #2 - Any orchestration of the main theme
Jose Reyes
Excuse me, canon couple coming through
Ethan Walker
Basically everything from Wind Waker. Particularly the opening medley. I just love how all three themes blend together.
Bentley Clark
>only 5 I'll go with full songs, because I do like the ocarina stuff from OoT and MM a lot.
Yeah about that, I can't just choose five, I'll just stop here
Mason Butler
i agree, wind waker had some supremely cozy music
Owen Cruz
yeah its so hard to pick just five
Xavier Wood
OTP right here
Leo Stewart
For OoT Link? Sure
Benjamin Adams
>Follow Fi I like this version best as well
Dominic Watson
Choosing only 5 is too hard when I love most of the soundtracks.
1. Faron Woods (TP) 2. City in the Sky (TP) 3. Gerudo Desert (TP & OoT) 4. Dark World (LttP) 5. Wild Ruins (MC)
Jaxson Ross
One of these days I want to play a Zelda game where every one of your items is added onto your model when they're equipped in some way.
BOTW is a good first but I need EVERYTHING hanging off the model.
Angel Miller
1. OoT Title Theme 2. Midna's Theme 3. OoT's Fire Temple (Original version) 4. Bamboo Island (Skyward Sword) 5. Hidden Village (Twilight Princess)
Oliver Cook
I feel like that would get really busy looking real quick. what botw has i think is the most id like to see before it gets to clustered to look good
Juan Taylor
>Skyward Sword finally gives us real orchestrated music >the very next game only has ambient piano plinks for music
Charles Hill
>I feel like that would get really busy looking real quick. Hence why I said only items that you have equipped.
It'd be nice to see bombs or the hookshot hanging from belt and such.
Thomas Hall
>>the very next game only has ambient piano plinks for music That's only for the overworld. I'm sure towns, characters, bosses and dungeons will have normal Zelda music.
Cameron Turner
We havent really heard any music other than the overworld
Camden Gomez
Oh yeah, that would be nice then. I hated picking up bomb bags or quivers, and then never actually getting to see them, and Link just pulls things out of his ass or wherever
Kevin Fisher
I'll take the N64 soundchip over orchestrated music anytime. It was such a nice soundchip. Grant Kirkhope's Yooka Laylee tracks aren't the same without it.
I like the variety of instruments the N64 tracks had to offer. The consistent instruments of Windwaker, Twlight Princess, and Skyward Sword are a little boring when you could be busting out different styles for each area.
Jonathan Bailey
>We havent really heard any music other than the overworld We've heard the trailer music, which is fucking fantastic. Overworld doesn't have music, just little ambience noises
Thomas Foster
>Grant Kirkhope's Yooka Laylee tracks aren't the same without it. >mfw I've been listening to his stuff for BK, BT and DK64 over and over
Joshua Turner
The only people who hate TP are mad Zeldafags who hate the fact that she appears for 10 minutes
Thomas Roberts
...
Julian Young
But most Zeldafags says shes the best one
Christopher Robinson
I'm pretty sure Brows of the Wild is the new Modestly Hot Zelda.
Please, most people hate the game because it limited itself a lot to being a OoT spiritual remaster fused with the at-the-time popular LotR
I think it's a great game, with some flaws, but yeah I don't think it's because of Zelda. She's good in the game.
>mfw Midna was so good Nintendo is killing companions now
Thomas Nelson
Please rape me Ghirahim sama!
Christian Perez
cant blame anyone for saying so
Anthony Johnson

Christian Nelson
>people are deluding themselves this hard about how the new Zelda looks
Holy shit people, come on. BotW Zelda looks awful. The hair and nose look disgusting in the game.
Evan Robinson
>BotW Zelda looks awful Get the fuck out
Brandon Hall
Have you seen her nose m8? It looks disgusting.
And the hair? That looks just plain bad. So normally princess Zelda does her hairline right in the middle? Ok, it doesn't look bad because she also has a crown, or something on her forehead. This time however, it just looks bad.
God, lose the braid and have her hair loose, it'll look ok despite the nose still being shit.
Also she doesn't have her bangs
Daniel Hernandez
It must be hard, being blind as you are
Leo Gonzalez
Ignoring how bad someone looks because """"""""""cute""""""" is dumb
Dylan Martin
I say she looks """""""cute"""""""" cause i think she looks good. though i suppose all of this is a matter of taste, so your opinion is just as good as mine.
Eli Ross
Hey buddy, I think you got the wrong door, the waifu wars general is two blocks down.

>900 Korok seed puzzles
Joseph Campbell
FUUUUUUCK
Ryan Price
>900 Korok seed puzzles I wonder how many of these I'll discover entirely by accident while wandering, and how many will be seemingly randomly placed.
Ryan Ross
>900 Korok seed puzzles pls no. pls don't be ass creed tier of tedious collectathons.
Alexander Rogers
>mfw the korok bullshit in WW was too much >BotW is like hundred times worse
>inb4 it's all timed bullshit going across the map
Christian Martinez
Do we even know what exactly they mean by Korok Puzzles? Im confused
Sebastian Scott
No, but it's nine fucking hundred of them
Charles Cooper
>120 slightly different mystical raisin men with anagrammed Japanese names >900 almost identical Charlie Brown Christmas special rejects
I feel for the character modelers.
Isaiah Butler
>implying all shrines will have dudes in them Maybe we get raisin girls!
Ayden Nguyen
Yes, it means locating hidden Koroks in the overworld. Some of them have been shown simply hiding under rocks, while others require minor tasks to locate, like diving into a ring of lilypads. When you find them, they give you a Korok Seed. After that, you give the seeds to someone for some kind of reward.
Hunter Barnes
Hmmm wonder what all 900 give you.
Samuel White
A special wooden stick with 999 damage rating and unbreakable
Matthew Flores
Some sort of flight item? One assumes if you've already scoured the whole world for 900 Koroks, being able to fly around would no longer create any major issues.
Josiah Fisher
>900 Koroks to find >120 shrines to complete
jesus I wanted this game to fill my free time but it's going to take a month playing as much as possible at least to 100 percent this
Daniel Anderson
You have a full forest that you planted in some desolate corner of the map
maybe you turn Gerudo desert into an Eden
Robert Williams
The green tunic.
Thomas Davis
>putting the tunic that everyone knows Link for behind such a thing
>inb4 SS Hylian shield
Benjamin Gutierrez
>When you find them, they give you a Korok Seed. >After that, you give the seeds to someone for some kind of reward. Thank you for finding all the seeds for me. I never thought I would ever see them again. I will never forget this, many safe travels to you friend.
James Sullivan
1. Song of Healing. Hands down best Zelda track. I will never stop loving that synth or whatever it's called in the background. Feels just fucking perfect behind that piano. Link shouldering the hopes and regrets of the people he encounters without a complaint or thought for his own wellbeing deservedly makes this track 3 golden goddesses tier. give MM Link some love in this new game you cruel nintendo bastards youtube.com/watch?v=WXnWfx6bIVE&t=102s
3. Kakariko Village. Again, comfy beyond measure, and unf, when that harmony in the middle of the song starts, oh baby. youtube.com/watch?v=agR5aaQL2PY
5. Bamboo Island from SS. I honestly don't remember that many tracks from SS, but when I do they're fucking great. Walking into that island for the first time greeted me with such a chilled out tune I downloaded it onto my PC after only a couple loops of listening. youtube.com/watch?v=ovI4Zz-ynzI
desu most of SS's soundtracks were completely forgettable.
James Lewis
But Ghirahim's themes are iconic
Chase Adams
>desu most of SS's soundtracks were completely forgettable. The ones that aren't are fucking amazing though
Elijah Gonzalez
Is Malon confirmed in Botw?
Nolan Hughes
They specifically called her out as not being in the game. Something about Aonuma hating her or something...
Dominic Bennett
source or shut your commie mouth
John Baker
Malon/Cremia haters should be shot on site.
Gabriel Baker
I NEED TO PLAY THIS FUCKING GAME FUUUUUCK
Henry Ortiz
Why not plan to spread out all that effort over 12-24 months if you are so afraid that it will be so daunting? That's far more sensible than wanting to finish it in as little time as possible, no?
Adrian Rogers
>OoT's Fire Temple (Original version) You wouldn't happen to have it in flac, would you? I only have it in MP3. I-I-It is for science.
Why do parodies always make Zelda the worst fucking kind of spoiled feminist brat?
Adrian Perez
>I-I-It is for science. If it's for science, then where are your glass beakers and scientist robe hmm?
Jacob Williams
Fascist Hyrule would see the destruction of monarchy with the Royal family being put in concentration camps. Not sure if you want that
James Myers
>Why do parodies always make Zelda the worst fucking kind of spoiled feminist brat? Projection from the creator.
>Fascist Hyrule would see the destruction of monarchy with the Royal family being put in concentration camps. Not sure if you want that >mfw Oh how little you know me.
Evan Cooper
>concentration camps
Why do you think this would happen at all?
Brayden Cook
I'm unhappy, too. Make that "music", not necessarily music.
We sure hope.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo overdid the minimalism for most of the soundtrack, among other undesirable things, in order to save on resources/memory in order to make the game as big as possible.
>I'll take the N64 soundchip over orchestrated music anytime. You're out of your damn mind, sonny boy.
Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword haven't been any more consistent than N64 Zeldas on sound variety. If anything, diversity has been more due to the greater memory of the Wii and WiiU. Your nostalgiafaggotry clouds your memory and judgment. Gorons still get their funky rhythms. Zoras still get their sweet and ephemeral melody. Dungeons vary appreciably, and are certainly a step up from, say, Wind Waker when we're talking about Skyward Sword. Twilight Princess' dungeon BGMs were certainly less melodic than I like.
Joseph Hughes
Right on me, m8. Always on or close at hand. I love to experiment, but this situation doesn't call for beakers, graduated cylinders, titration apparati, etc., to begin with.
Jordan Anderson
I'd be up for a socialist Hyrule ruled by not-Aztecs.
Wyatt Wilson
can't fully disagree with him here, she's not that pretty this time
Nintendo is gradually moving towards a homelier look for our dear Zeruda, starting with Skyward Sword. I wonder why? Is it to appease female fans in a way or what?
Jaxon Jones
I wish there was much more fanart of the locales in the Zelda games.
Luke Adams
>Nintendo is gradually moving towards a homelier look for our dear Zeruda Eh, maybe. Though maybe the super round face is just from sty--
>starting with Skyward Sword Oh, go FUCK yourself with the sharpest set of knives you can find.
Charles Ramirez
>Oh, go FUCK yourself with the sharpest set of knives you can find.
Samuel Lopez
>Nintendo is gradually moving towards a homelier look for our dear Zeruda You mean like it was in all Zelda games before OoT?
Matthew Brooks
You'll get fujotrash and like it.
Aaron Bell
Hey now, I said homelier, obviously versus before, though Smash and Warriors are exceptions, I'm not at all saying SS Zelda was ugly. She's still attractive. Calm down.
Leo Kelly
Guys I don't know whether I bring fresh news, but I think it's the calamity, Ganon and not the Calamity Ganon. In the English trailer, the voice says that the history of the royal family of Hyrule is also the history of the calamity Ganon. But in French, the phrase is totally different. Translated, it says : Since the most ancient times, the history of the royal family of Hyrule is intimately bond/linked to the one of The Calamity, this monster named Ganon.
So did you already know it ? Is it an error of translation in the French trailer ?
Adrian Adams
I've never played Skyward Sword or Majora's Mask. I want to play one before BoTW comes out. What do you think?
Gavin Wilson
>games before OoT A trend in the first two games that didn't stick, wow. No one cares. All other games since have had a very pretty Zelda. BotW is obviously a clear downgrade.
Aiden Stewart
Sidenote : it seems to be the same in Spanish (Latin), Spanish (Spain) and Italian.
Jason Moore
Both. Majora's Mask is my favorite, though, start with that one. The 3DS remake looks and feels great. I like how they revamped the bosses. I need to replay the N64 MM, though, as I think they made the swamp boss and mountain boss a little easier, unfortunately.
Those mean the same thing, just worded differently. If the Royal history is linked to the history of the Calamity, then you could simplify it to "the Royal history is also the history of the Calamity". Not how I would choose to word it, personally.
Cooper Butler
Majimbo's Mask
Squidward Sword just has too many design fuckups to be worth playing aside from a few exceptions like the desert ocean (which is ruined by the final boss' design)
