Is it okay to buy an automatic Acura NSX...

Is it okay to buy an automatic Acura NSX? I found a very clean 97 model with miles as low as 15k for $45k and it is Red too and I fell in love with it.

I know how to drive a manual but I really want an NSX just because I love it too much. Can the automatic be as good as the manual?

buy it
don't live in constant fear that someone from an image board will keep saying >automatic

You'll get bored and wish you waited for a manual every time you drive it

Why? I'm sure you can find a manual for 45k. There's no reason to buy an automatic nsx, unless you're an amputee.

If the auto is like the 4spd auto in older accords it will sap all the fun and instantly make it just a fashion object

Don't listen to this idiot OP, if you know how to drive manual you will regret and wish you got a manual after a few weeks. It's not like you will be driving it daily. 45k for an auto NSX is alot it's not even a good deal it being auto and all

>automatic

ou honestly gonna spend 45k on a sports car only to get it in auto?

Disregarding the garbage opinion of every single person in this thread - get it if you prefer automatic, find a better deal if you prefer manual. There is no other opinion.

>4-speed auto
What were they thinking?

afterthought

People who got the slushbox with the NSX didn't mind, moreso got it because it looks good

Caring about the opinion of someone on a Mongolian throat singing forum.

Buy the nsx

my friends dad has an automatic NSX. he's driven manual cars all his life and is and old man so he found one for a lil under $30k with low miles and an auto transmission.

anyone who owns >autotragic should fucking kill themselves for being cuck sjw faggots

Don't listen to him OP, if it speaks to you then you should get it. I feel the same way about the NSX and if I had the money and found a great condition one I'd pick it up in a heartbeat, even if it was automatic. Manual is of utmost importance when you're looking for that gear slapping, exhaust gargling roar that comes with an older model v8 car. The NSX is a finely tuned, smooth, extremely reliable sports car with supercar tier handling. It is incredible driver focused and roadfeel oriented, meaning you don't need a manual transmission to feel connected to the road like you do with many other sports cars and super cars nowadays. I fully believe that you should get it OP, automatic is a fine choice and you will have a car that dreams are made of.

I hear it's cheaper to buy an auto nsx and convert it to manual than to buy a manual nsx.
Just know that with an auto nsx, everyone is going to think you're a faggot who cares more about looking cool than driving

>autotragic

why would you buy such an old car for 45k if it isn't even fast, let alone the slowest possible option
if you like how it looks just get a fiero bodykit at that point

To me base model automatic versions of cars like this (A80 Supra, FD RX-7, etc) exist solely to be sequential transmission swapped and turned into race cars. Which is ironic because everyone goes after the manual versions for these applications while the automatics are universally kept bone stock and meticulously maintained.

It's not fair

>automatic
Trash.

>auto
literally stick a shotgun in your mouth and blow your dome off

>not c4 corvette
Im gonna get this one for 5k 60k miles soon, no problems I can see in engine

>1997 automatic

You know the only autos that are actually good are from this century and have two clutches, right?

>trailer trash

buy it and swap it for manual you retard

>typing this much asshurt over settling

Just fucking buy it and swap it to manual it shouldn't be that hard if you are not retarded

Automatic sports car contradicts itself

if it's in good condition and clean an nsx auto + manual swap will probably be a bit less than getting a clean manual from what I've seen. So do it

>not wanting right wing death squad: the car

>fall in love with a car
>come to anonymous imageboard to ask what shitposters might think if you bought it

do what you want without seeking external validation.
the worst that can happen is that you don't like it, at which point you can either sell it and get a manual or swap the transmission.
