Don't know how viable and functional it is as a whole (only tested it for the wave incoming tune) yet, but it could potentially make soundmodding easier since you're not forced to recreate entire banks for small changes.

How bad is Sharp for bossses?

If you get shots on the head - good.
If you don't you might as well play firebug.

If your aim is incredible, it's decent. For 95% of the players you'd be better off going demo and spamming RPGs if you want to deal lods of edamage.

How much have Firebug and Medic changed?

Firebug went from broken to trash to broken to decent. Still as horrible to be any other perk with a Firebug on your team though.
Medic lost his armor repair but gets stat buffs instead.

how can they make survivalist not awful? i was thinking something like exclusive purchasables that trade weight for buffs, like ap rounds, incindiary ammo, spare magazines, etc. just take the clusterfuck theme and run with it

Heres how i'd propose to fix it:

As it is, most of the list are squishy now, exceptions are zerk, medics and just barely SWAT (which needs tweaking too). When I think of a survivalist, I think of someone sturdy, with the bulk, say 150hp and maybe armor if you feel brave, it sort of compensates for lacking in damage and makes you SURVIVE better. Ironic I see them die most.

You go from regular explosives to either a molotov or healing grenade, incorporate it so you choose between a regular grenade on the heavy artillery reloads (demo, support) so its more heavy power and fits thematically or a gas grenade on the faster reloads on pistols, AR's etc. to be more of a "light" option. Nobody will miss molotovs.

Maybe a little bonus would be to increase the damage by 5% on all classes that aren't being played in the server, but thats probably too complex and OP

So when downloading sound effect mods, is there any way to change the volume level on them? I got one for the medic grenades, and as fun as it is, I don't want to rupture my fucking eardrums with the sweet sweet sounds of smoke weed nichijou every time I toss a grenade or enter ZED time

Pretty good imo if you're at 25. Just make sure to get tac reload and always prepared. Get a second rail gun if you can and just stay crouched and still for damage bonuses while pumping the bosses full of rail. You run out of ammo fast though which is why you generally need a second railgun.

How come the zeds can run around in the cold just fine in KF-Outpost? You'd think hypothermia would get them long before they managed to reach the team.

Is KF2 worth buying? I've played 1, and had fun with it in the past. I've heard 2 had issues, but am not clear on what those issues may be.

A lot of the issues were during Early Access and have been fixed. It still has some minor balance issues, but the game is great now.

It had a bunch during Early Access, but after a long, bumpy road it's in a really good spot right now. My only problem is it really needs more weapons but that'll be fixed in time as they keep updating it.

Wouldn't be a bad idea for Tripwire to make the AK12 a little cheaper though. I can't find a reason to prefer it over the M16, minus the extra hit power.

slugs would be kind of retarded because the shotty spread is already tight as fuck and a slug wouldn't offer a significant difference for KF2's ranges.

The FLASH would be cool though, especially if it left a large burning patch of ground for a couple minutes, that'll fuck some trash zeds up.

slugs could have bonus damage at the cost of any spread at all, and be on a relatively cheap gun

But given a shared spot with the Sharp, wouldn't it accidentally make some of his own weapons appear underpowered?

It'd be nice if they brought that back, but in the form of pic related.

I kinda wanna see some alternative starting pistols, though. It'd be cool to see a Glock with a higher mag capacity, a burst-capable pistol, a snubnose revolver, or something fancy with a laser attached. Or just pistols that don't offer any stat differences, only nice looks.

It's very fun to use but I hate how it blocks my view, has fuck all range and it's highly outclassed by the Pulv and Evis when it comes to big guy killing

I don't remember, didn't the Mac10 in KF1 lose the incendiary ability once used off-perk? I swear I remember carrying it around as support spec a lot. Shame they didn't do multi-perk weapons in KF1, their forums had a lot of posts about the idea and even then they had a M16M203.

With multi-perk weapons now in I wouldn't be surprised if it came back as a firebug/SWAT weapon

I am new to the game, think that Gunslinger is the coolest shit. How many retards play Gunslinger? What is the general attitude towards Gunslingers?

Loads of retards play it for the cool factor.

If you're a horrible shot like me, roll with the Bone Breaker skill. Otherwise abuse Rack em Up. If you're good with Rack em Up you can take down big zeds with the .500s.

They're a good addition to the team if they're good. It's a very strong Perk that requires good aim and recoil control to get the most out of it, movement speed makes kiting with it a breeze.

It used to be the absolute best class in the game alongside the zerker and medic.

It's still good, but i guess commando/swat/sharpshooter/whatever are also good now, so it doesnt really see much play.

Usually I roll with bone breaker because you can kill most zeds with just a shot to the chest with a deagle and you don't really need that extra damage that much.

IIRC the GS also has an ability that makes zeds stumble/fall over when shot in the legs with a GS weapon. I don't know if they changed it since I last played that perk, but kneecapping a charging Fleshpound with the .500 was always fucking hilarious.

It doesn't seem to work any more :(

Ever since the resistance update that changed, even with the Perk skill it takes several .500 shots to knock down a Fleshpound or Scrake.
The skill that slows them down with each headshot is much better since it gives you more time to land your shots.

You're not kidding? God damn it. I used to love that, it was like watching a toddler run and then trip on nothing and fall face first into the lawn.
