You're not missing out on anything right now. 4 is garbage, 5 is just alright but it's still the 2nd worse halo fps. I wouldn't get an xbox one to play 5, I did and I completely regret it. Who knows how 6 will be but given 343s history with MCC, 4, and 5 it's not looking good.

If you want to play halo so bad just buy an old xbox 360 and play 1,2,3, ODST and reach on them. You could probably get all of that for less than 150 if you look around online.

Reach is the clunkiest piece of shit FPS I've ever played. A great feature suite does not a fun game make. It's everything bad about Halo 3 cranked up to 11.

4 is only worse by virtue of being a total bastardization of everything Halo stands for.

Pfft, are you kidding me? Halo in general is a clunky and slow compared to the best FPS. Unreal and Tribes will forever have my heart.

But Reach was just awful to play. I booted it up the other day and was disgusted. The gameplay is slow and clunky, the gunplay is just terrible, the netcode is abysmal, the maps were awful before the DLC, terrible weapon sandbox and balance. And don't even get me started on the fucking framerate.

It's just unenjoyable. And I dunno if you guys remember but the old guard fucking despised it before 4 came along and proved that things really could get worse.

Fair enough. I'll never say Reach doesn't have a great suite of features. If you enjoy the game it'll keep you entertained for a long time. Me, I don't like feeling like a fat kid in molasses with the arm strength of a 16 year old girl.

Why does Halo 5 have some of the worst aiming I've seen in a console FPS? Aiming in this game is heavy as fuck for no reason, it felt great in the beta but the launch is just fucked. I generally end up under-compensating for aiming in Halo 5 and whenever I go to play an older Halo game I end up over-compensating as a result.

Because it's debeloped by a studio that was forced together simoly to make a game instead of a studio made from the ground up by people that wanted to make something themselves.
The amount of technical fumbles 343 has made in their small existance is nearly unrivaled.
