It has the best combat and alchemy to date.

The time management for the first year is actually decent especially if you're looking to get a single playthrough plat without resorting to normal/easy mode.

Even without it, the game itself is just very good mechanically.

I was extremely pleased to discover that the sisters got entirely new animations for VII, particularly Uni, Rom and Ram.

Time management has never been particularly meaningful, the only time I ever remember it being restrictive is in Totori when trying to get the true end. Every other instance you just get a retarded amount of free time no matter what you actually do. I'd rather there not be one so you don't have to slog through the entire game again if you missed some character event.

That said I don't like a lot of things Mystery had to offer, but removal of overall time management is not one of them. (even though there's still time-limited requests in Sophie, and a sort of timed first half of Firis)

I actually first heard of the game through its OST, but is MeiQ worth paying full price for? It recently shipped in physical in a retailer near me and I've been thinking about it. I could buy S;G or Trails of Cold Steel for thr same price though.

The Might+(Range) effect seems to be very subtle. The other NPCs I give the buff to only has a small red glowing lines as indicators. they are missing the red lightning effect.

But for some reason Leech+(Range) has absolutely no indicators at all, so I'm not even sure if that thing is working.

The sub weapon adding a wide variety of skills, the heavier emphasis in buffing/debuffing (which goes well with the wide variety of skills), the heavier emphasis in turn and gauge management, the actually useful super move instead of the usual flashy finisher. There's a lot of things better in Firis compared to previous games.

Yes it's worth it. Ar nosurge is the sequel to ciel nosurge which is a large vn tk don't wanna translate (there is like 2GB of additional voice date over the cart size). However there is both summary and youtube translation of the story part of ciel.

Just keep playing then until you get a hang of things. If by any chance it's too slow for you, a modifier can be unlocked that multiplies all damage by 500%.

Leech+ (Range) doesn't even work at all.
I tested in on an SPC npc who was injured, and he didn't recover any HP, even though my Leech spell is supposed to absorb HP as well.

I guess that's my buff build going down the drain.

and this is a guy who is on his 3rd run because there is apparently plot in the optional dungeon that only opens after you beat the boss on Devil difficulty

Maybe it works by transferring health you leech to nearby allies?

There's a very very small scratch near the middle of the screen. Like, the size of a clover mite. You'd have to actively focus to even notice it.

So naturally it's totally unusable. I'll have to get a new vita soon.
