Not him, but I've been looking at payment processing options to set up shop some time and Paypal is truly the worst. ~3% processing fee + 0.30 USD/CAD, the world's most ambiguous ToS that comes up to "we own you", and the fact they won't accept anything but a tracking number for proof of the item being sent out meaning they'll issue a refund instantly if the client fraudulently asks for one, and suspend your account when it happens two or three times.
I use Paypal everywhere myself, but I can quite clearly see why a small sticky shop would want to avoid it.
