Just finished Nobleman's retort. Actually one of the better games I've played from the ghostbin in a while.

It's rare to find a game with both good art and actually having a unique CG for every scene instead of reusing them in 5 others.

if you haven't, play all the other Clymenia games, especially Slavation

I liked how the combat was completely optional in Nobleman's Retort.

I don't see what's the big deal with combat H? I've never really found those overly hot with their low quality animations(outside virgin island).

The CGs and variety of CGs are done really well in those games which I think is the most important quality of H games.

You could find most all of the translators on ulmf.

The most notable one is probably m1zuki for his consistency and quantity of translated games.

Other than that there's u-ray who seems to be doing well, and an army of partial translators a la yugifan/yun-ah/elfloren etc.

As for the price you'd have to negotiate with them and see. You might have better luck just offering an user here on the boards a deal though.

Yes, it's so good it gets constantly shilled on /aco/ by the 4 people who bought it.

I haven't played the version with art in it, but the one I played was still very good. If you love meta jokes and poking at the tropes and cliches of the genre, then it is for you. Just like any of sierra's games they start out pretty slow and don't really shine before you get a bit into the game.

Yeah the page now says "eventually" but he hasn't directly said on his blog that the actual release date is pushed back.

I still think it'll release in February though.

Alright. How in the hell can take a translation of a decent sized rpg like ROBF take longer than half a year? I was going to translate it myself since no one else bothers to release a somewhat full translation. With my free time (4-5 hours a day) I could easily do it in one month.

Well you could try pretty much all RPGs of this circle.
I really enjoyed the one in the ghost mansion.

If they could remove the battles in the CG hunts that would be even better.
Most of them are just the same basic RPG battles and most people use cheat engine to bypass them anyway.

I don't see the point of CG hunts myself, but there's nothing wrong with turn-based combat per se. Not everyone likes Excel after all, some people like chess for example.
How (badly) it's implemented in doujin/indie/amateur games is another story.
