So we're really doing this.

Want to contribute since i'm getting my hopes up a bit for actual discussion or at least what little i can pull out of this.

With the new "GT" out some people in /sp/ (also known as the better Veeky Forums for racing cars) have speculated that Ford and their modern-day homologation of a racing platform might make the whole GTLM class faster (maybe even faster than the post 2000s GT1 cars they replaced) as other manufacturers try to edge out any and all advantages they can such as porsche moving the engine forward for an MR and the Mid-engine corvette could also be so GM could homologate a faster Corvette as to ensure Ford has no advantage over them.

What is the 1910s-1980s

the only good car ford has ever made

You know Ford stands for don't you?
Fix it again Tony

Thank you based Ford

and thats not even a good one

>88 thunderbird
>not a good car
it makes V8 babies mad because its a 4 cylinder that had a higher too speed than most V8s

What's a good rear end swap for a panther platform?

Correct.

Is this not the best australian made car ever?

Late 60s Ford's are the best Ford's.

Winter Mazda ranger danger.

What year did you grow out of your Edgy Ford phase?

I am thinking about buying a ford taurus from 2003

I drive right now a ford focus wagon.

>zf 6 speed which is unbreakable
While the ZF is a solid box, the heat exchangers aren't that flash. Fair few blokes have had issues where they have failed and "Milkshaked"

I'm working on sourcing a pair of stock headlights. The lights on here were on when I bought it

I want to shoot the guy that thought these looked good

How reliable/well made are new Focuses? Corolla-tier?

Thinking about buying a "new" Focus SE from a dealer for $12900. It's got 2200 miles on it so I don't know how it's "new", but I'll find out. They also have a Focus SE hatchback for $14k

>how reliable
Not quite corolla tier, not even civic tier. But they've improved enough easily to be 300k+ cars if taken care of.

Get the hatch.

I dig the headlights, but the back should stay stock.

Picking up my '17 Focus ST Estate tomorrow.

P hype.

>tfw its butchered

the evolution is complete. The SUV has become the Minivan.

...

not one of the more flattering pictures there t b h

This
Buddy has a 2016 se sport pack sedan he bought new. After 14k km he hasn't had any issues other than hitting the ditch a couple times and ruining the front bumper, as well as interior plastics not fitting and coming loose. I got to drive it a fair share and have to say its a peppy little car. The dct is a little confused at times, and the 4cyl isn't the best motor I've ever seen, but for a new car its ok. Good sound system, heated seats and wheel are bae, good visibility for 2016 except you need to use the back up cam in the sedan. Lots of room, steering is a little lack luster though. Overall 7/10 not bad. Oh and it understeers like a pig. My 1992 escort can out corner, out drag (to 85mph) and out brake it.

Looking to replace my Ford Focus with a used Fiesta ST. Anyone else here have one and what does your insurance look like? 4 door 4cl and insurance doesn't know any better that it's a 4 door hot hatch so reasonable yeah?

How crucial are the Recaros also? I really want to get one with the upgraded seats but that tacks on like an additional thousand.

...

If they're anything like stock base focus seats they are so worth the g for the recaros. My fiero seats were more comf than those.

The Recaro's make what is otherwise a shit econobox tier interior so much nicer. Sourcing one with the Recaros and dealing with nigger salesman who probably won't wanna haggle as much will be annoying though.

Anyone ever own a newedge Cobra? I got some questions

Own and build/modify I should say

SHINY AND CHROME

Ford is shit. They make boring uninspired appliances for old people who aren't smart enough to buy a Toyota or a Honda.

Some dude in an F150 swerved into me the other day. Low speed because good brakes, but I think my MKS is going to be a total loss, because frame and PTU damage.

Shame too, because I really like the color combo (Bordeaux Reserve Red Metallic over Sienna)

Think I'm going to end up picking up a Flex next, if I don't get another BMW 535 wagon.

The 5.0 was making 225hp in '88.

and the lima still had a higher top speed
really fires your neurons

The stock 6 piece headlights have issues.
I have a factory set on one mustang, and something similar to yours (but less ricey) on another.
The one piece looks better smoked and has less alignment issues.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to adjust/replace a control arm for a 2007 F150?
I've got a wheel that's cambered out a little. I don't think it's a wheel bearing issue, either.

Dammit I want one now

>TFW Burger

Get the hatch with the manual

IIRC the OD in the 5.0 was too tall for max top speed in 5th and they would actually pull higher speed in 4th but that's not the gear top speed testing was done in. Not by a lot. It was like 138 in 5th and 144 in 4th or something like that.

Also the Turbo Coupe was slicker than a Mustang which made a difference in top end too
