fun fax: every McLaren F1 livery from 1981 - 2016 used the same intense, eyeball-fucking fluorescent red-orange hue. Yes, even the West and Vodafone liveries.
Marlboro formulated the color specifically to confuse cameras and show up as the brightest "normal" red TVs in the '80s could display. Most modern cameras still can't capture it properly, and nothing but ultra wide-gamut monitors can hint at what it actually looks like.
Look how dull the yellow in the Shell logo on the nose looks by comparison, or the red of the Martini livery on the Porsche. Seeing it in real life is downright shocking.
