An ENB is killer for that. Probably the most important thing. With a couple tweaks to TKRE it can go from colorful to grim.

VIGILANT is crammed to the brim with DaS armor, weapons, even rings. Check out FunkyGandalfCat's stuff too, it's great.

I have Enhanced Landscapes, which makes the Morthal area really cool. If you want that dead look everywhere though, Dark Fantasy Overhaul is really awesome.

Sidenote, if you're interested in ruining your game with hordes of draugr, check out Draugnarok. It also forces spooky weathers as things progress, but that can be disabled with the MCM.

Pirates of the North adds neat little wood burning stoves. Sadly they're really low res.

I just wasn't sure how good the leveled lists are. I wouldn't want farmers wearing clothes that are clearly meant for merchants or something, for example.

Need more mods like this. I'm not a huge fan of Enhanced Landscapes due to its clipping issues and town/city overhauls that I use, but from what I've seen it does look nice. Dark Fantasy Overhaul is neat, too, but I think he removed the patch that took the mushrooms out of the Hjaalmarch region.

Any mods that make the world feel more...decaying? Draugnarok looks awesome as a means to have ""hollows"" running around and messing the place up, but are there any mods that add junk like ruins or modifying towns/villages to feel more ruined? I really want to do a playthrough where everything in Skyrim has gone to shit and focus on survival.

I feel like I still need to tweak these LUTs a bit. I tried toning down Grim and Such to allow some more environment color into it but it's still not enough imo. Hrm.

A few Winterhold overhauls will do that, like JK's. But that's not nearly enough. I'm not sure if there's many mods that encompass that look in the cities that wouldn't normally have it. Possibly not.
