Recently on NeoGAF Peter pretty much confirmed for everyone that if Skullgirls 2 ever happened, Marie, Umbrella, and Dahlia would definitely be playable.
He didn't mention Mobile though. So, that means either one of 'em is already planned for Mobile (and thus SG2), or they have another character planned for Mobile (Annie).

They've already said that animations they make for a new character in Mobile would be applied to SG2 if it ever happened. They just don't need as many animations for Mobile.

We lost our 2013 spot to Smash, of all games, and then Inju$tice bought another slot that should have been ours. Now after 3 years of EVO ignoring our asses, we've gotta compete with Mahvel, KI, AND a new Nintendo game too? This is bs man. At least give us the $70,000 headstart we earned.
I'd love to see SG at EVO, but SG fans have already gone in so hard to support the game itself. At this point I'm torn between donating or just screwing it and sticking with Combo Breaker.

If the SG community can band together like that year, they stand a chance, especially since it's been released in Japan for some extra support. KI will be the biggest competitor sadly, but if they weren't in the running, SG could take it easily.

Like the intros weren't? Lab Zero has even said that if they work on new characters for Mobile, it'll be with the goal of later reusing them for SG2.
Of course, Mobile characters won't initially have a fraction as many frames as they'd need for a full 6 button moveset. And no doubt people will cry that they don't get added to SG1 right away.

The quality of Terraria's Mobile stuff falls on the developer, 505 is just a publisher like Autumn. SGMobile's being made by Hidden Variable and published by Autumn. So far it seems like HV is relying on LZ input for the new sprites and character art, so as long as Autumn's cool with that, LZ will probably take care of any new character stuff.

I dunno but I wonder if they would actually relegate some incarnations to be temporary party members before their story arc is finished, or perhaps choosing some incarnation will lock you out of a different one, reading the character bios there aren't really that many people in favor of the iron kingdom so that would be a cool addition if we got more reps for them, since Anja may be facing an evil that forces people to work together

A diverging path system based on party choices sounds interesting and would certainly encourage replays to see other story paths, but altogether I feel that may be a bit limiting to the player. I personally prefer the flexibility of party swapping, but I see the merit of possible exclusion during certain runs.

I feel like either Peter or Mike has said that they probably wouldn't make it so gaining an incarnation locks you out of getting another one. No doubt they'll make us work for a few of them as sidequests though.
Based on the chart, I have a strong theory that the Iron Kingdom will be one of the final areas, and will be locked off while Ajna explores other areas. That's why most of the IK reps seem to be off the main story path, because the IK is working against you most of the game, and you'll have to go out of your way to befriend people from the western region like George, Hassam, and Vasco, and maybe Antoine too if he doesn't join you right away.
