Been stuck on 40 a couple of days now, mostly running SM now and then. Trying to level in the 35-40 or trying to go into the 40-50 zones just ends up with horde slapping down every attempt to level for alliance players.

Leatherworking isn't like tailoring, where you need to have it on cloth professions because you get the best BoP gear from it, most LW gear is BoE.

It's not the worst by any means, but you should get engineering if you want to PvP a lot, and if you don't take that or LW, Alchemy is probably your best pick, and if you manage to find flask recipes and something like Black Lotus (heavily camped) you'll make a fortune endgame. While LW/Skinning don't get you tons of money, you also aren't contested, like when doing Alchemy/herb

Both are good, roll whichever you want to play. They play pretty much the same as they did in TBC except priest doesn't have prayer of mending or mass dispel.

Paladin is probably the stronger one for premade bg's because of bubble. you have much higher chance of winning the initial blacksmith fight.
Priest you'll have a lot more fun pvp while leveling though because they're broken in 1v1's
