The charger is that fucking slow?

What is the purpose at this point? Just fucking end it all

>1995 Integra GSR
>7.1-7.3 seconds
My dashcam has pegged me at 7.2 to 60 but according to one of the drag strip regulars they should hit 7.1 with perfect everything
How does it feel OP?

>the charger only comes in one engine, one drive train.

I think he's more asking what is the point of calling it a muscle car when it's slower than a japscrap economy car with a 1.8 liter from 12 years before it?

>2008 Nissan xTerra
>~8s

I have the pussy V6, got it for $4k and the interiors like new.
Needed the backseats and it's still got some kick for a sedan

It would have some kick if it wasn't two fucking tons with less than 300 HP
OP your car is literally slower than a 3k civic

Got my 08 SXT for $2k.

>those apartments
>that car
It's like pottery

Considering my truck does the quarter in 22.9 seconds at 59.3 mph, I'm going to guess somewhere around 23 seconds.

my cx-5 does 7.7 and its a fucking family car

wtf

What is highway acceleration from 60?
What is not doing 4500rpm down the highway?

I'm 100% white and live in the middle of the woods. None of my neighbors were black either.

92 stang
>6.4

The gen 1 MS3 is pretty differed with times, some say its 5.6-6.1 seconds. But, it does 13.8-14.5 second quarter mile stock.

With all FWD cars, launching is pretty difficult so the times will be all over the place. Its really quick while rolling though. BTFO's older mustangs, hondas/acuras, and pretty much anything in that range. Mine is around 280hp tho

>97 volvo 855-t5 a/t (R ecu, injectors, rest oem)
>6.6 sec

I had an old benz 300d n/a that would have been neck and neck with that. Do you go flat out on onramps?

1995 GSR: Top trim sport compact from Honda's premium line, performance oriented.

2007 Dodge Coronet: Base full size family sedan from Chrysler's budget line. Fleet oriented.

when your "sports car" is .5 sec quicker than a cab.

>1970 MG Midget
>14s

Idk like 4 flat or something. It's a 3600lb sedan with a 4 cylinder tho so what can you do.

I go flatout everywhere, yet it literally is slow as fuck.

gay

>Upset
Shit that's slow compared to my old bike. Even in the 80's at 2.8s 0-60

inline 6?

Bikefags always brag about their 0-60 times yet in reality they'd loop the bike or spin the tire if they tried to get even remotely close the the advertised time.

probs around 10s.

>Implying it's difficult to go fast in a straight line on a motorcycle

2003 Nissan Xterra 3.3l it only makes 180hp
Around 11 seconds from a post I read online

It's not really surprising that putting a weak engine in a sedan makes it slow

But that's why you can get it with a V8

>4500 rpm on the highway
If you keep it in fourth
That doesn't answer the initial question as to why he called it a muscle car, no need to get all finicky about a 1.8 being quicker than a 3.~
I was just picking on him is all, I honestly like that body style of Charger the best and if I were in the market for a weekender that wasn't manual I'd pick up an SRT8 one in a heartbeat

6 seconds assuming it actually hooks. Only an El Camino could be that slow and still struggle for traction.

Besides, assuming you don't have a 3 inch fart can on, the drone doesn't really get noticeable until ~5000 RPM, unless you're one of those windows up music off types, in which case you picked a 2,700 lb shitbox from the 90's and deserve everything that happens to you when you complain about it not being comfy

People underestimate muscle cars
But given the price and weight, they have really good performance

I'll give ya if you're looking for just a highway commuter, but for someone like me who delivers pizza that would just guzzle more gas and be more of a burden to maneuver around apartment complexes. Different people for different things eh?

193 hp
~6.6 seconds 0-60
inline 6
guess the car

BMW 328i e36

Not really gearing on sports bikes is usually pretty tall and modern electronics take care of it nowadays.

My bike will do 0-60 in the the 2.6-2.8 second range. It'll also go 100mph in 1st, no anti-wheelie electronics so they just geared it insanely tall.

You could drop the gearing down quite and bit and be looking at a 0-60 closer to 2.2-2.4 but it'd lift way more easily. As it is it doesn't tend to lift unless you want it to.

That aside you'd still have to be a pretty awful rider to loop a bike.

2015 Renault Trafic (work van)
15.9 seconds... in an almost brand new vehicle

wikipedia tells me 2.4 seconds but id probably only be able to do 3

around 8.7s
>Duke 125

Econobox

Somewhere around 14s. I feel like i shouldn't even post itt.
>yfw i consider any sub 10s. car as FAST

>Acura RSX
>6.8 S

Factory states 3.9s.

1988 camaro 4.8 seconds, that's on slicks with full bolt ons and a cam

>2013 E92 335i
>4.6-5.3 depending on sources (BMW is conservative as hell with their own estimates)

Officialy 12,8 seconds from 0-62mph.
But I think that is a verry conservative figure.
I´ll test it out later with an epmty fuel tank and without the spare wheel.(actual spare wheel, no space savershit)

About 3.6s to 60

Not even a bike

About 3-3.3 seconds
Not sure on the old truck though, probably like 14-16

6.2 seconds stock, never bothered clocking it with mods

>1991 MR2 Turbo
>0-snap in ~6.2

So published times or times we've measured? The Toyobaru does it in 6.2 seconds, according to C & D but I haven't timed it myself.

But Chargers aren't muscle cars' they mechanical garbage made for people to put crappy looking 22's on

About 4 seconds supposedly. Never tested it because I don't want to ruin the clutch.

Golf R stage 1.5 370 bhp

Lol I got 7 seconds flat on my Volvo 940 turbo..

>76 spitfire
>a few minutes on a good day.
Still love the slow piece of crap.

Yep, a tired 300 with blowby, 4.11 gears and a c6.

Trac bars

V6 models, maybe. The V8 is the epitome of a muscle car which you're probably confusing with pony car

Have you tried to use 10w60 oil?
Sometimes that helps to reduce blowby.

>Tfw I have one of the fastest cars in this thread
>Tfw 5.7 0-60
>Tfw 2011 nissan maxima

pretty comfy desu

>2002 audi TT quattro convertible
>6.9 secs

>mfw the non convertible coupe does 6.6

What the fuck? i thought the ragtop convertible would be faster since it doesnt have the heavy metal roof but apparently no

>Citroen C2
>1.1 litre engine, 52 BHP
>What is 70 mph?

this is almost as slow as my 4cyl accord

the 6cyl accords do under 6sec

you must have purchased a V6 charger base model

I'll try it. That is honestly a good idea for my next oil change

>09 G37 RWD
>4.8 according to the bluetooth dongle

Only mods are coils, front mounted intake, and EcuTek street tune.

>88 Toyota Supra
>6.5
New cars are too fast. ;_;
Only mod is a 3 inch turbo back.

not sure last i measured it was 6.4 seconds but that was over a year ago on premium fuel

running regular-mid grade stuff now and a totally different gearbox (went from 4l60e to t56)

Not gonna measure until i get a 3.7 final

7.9

Lol my old falcon did 7.8 on a good day

>Shit gearing + auto
Mainly gearing innit i bet you have a tall as fuq first

2005 BMW 330xi
Somewhere around 6.1-6.9 because I cannot find agreeing sources for the life of me.
Feels around the high 6s tho.

No you idiot, it now has a bunch of heavy motors and a heavy cloth instead.
Congrats you're retarded.
Everyone knows convertibles are slower 99% of the time.
I hope I'm being trolled.

5 seconds

it's ok.

i don't think i can manage that but i'll believe 986forums.

going into my Veeky Forums cringe folder. thanks user

Probably in the low never evers.
Just kidding, according to official brochures and shit, it's in the 7 second range.

>Mazda 3 2014

I wish I could get the 2,5l engine in Europe.

like 7.6 seconds
hahahah

>2014 fiester st

Probably around 6.5 seconds

this image makes me want to vomit

specs say 4.6-4.7, but I'd only be able to squeeze out like 5.1-5.2

>90's car
>2.0 liter inline 4 turbo

2005 Toyota Corolla

w203 something like 7-8 I think

ah, the old >muh BMW always posts stats that are slower than the cars IRL
I actually know a guy IRL who has a 335i that has said the exact same thing to me several times.

chicken en plural

1995 MX-5 "miata"

Supposedly 8.4 sec stock. Pretty reasonable for something that puts less than 110 hp to the wheels.

lol i've got a 69 with the 390. probably something like 13-14 seconds 0-60

>4000 lb
>250 hp/250 lb-ft 3.5 L V6
>4 speed auto

knowing those factors, a 0-60 time of 7.7 seconds would make sense.

15' SRT 392

4.1 according to magazines but the best i've gotten is 4.3. Could probably get it if i used the built-in launch control...

e6 528i
6.5s

>e6
whoops meant e60

>1998 Volvo S70 t5m
>6.0

A few mods and a decent set of summer tires so it's a little faster than stock. It's a little bit of a sleeper which is always fun.

>335i
>below 4 seconds

Lol being proud of any 0-60 time over 5.xx

kawasaki z1000
2.9 seconds

Do people these days really not fucking realize that originally, muscle cars were just shitboxes with big engines?

Are you really that retarded? Do you think every charger back in the 60's came with a 426 hemi?

I could do 5.5 pretty easily in my 08 with the 235 tires.
