Here's one I think about sometimes OP: despite everyone who was alive at the time of this photo's taking, we still believe in and follow many of the concepts at the time. We have agreed to maintain many of the nation-states from the time, many of the same systems of laws, constitutions, regulations, etc.

It's even crazier to think that society is just this thing that a bunch of dead meat-bodies slapped together and sustained through bloody effort, and there's no reason why civilization and its accoutrements should exist at all, and people who agitate to overthrow "the system" somehow seem to think that hitting the reset button on 1000 years of human endeavor will somehow make things "better" for the stupidest, poorest people.
