If the Poschengband-R dev is around, could you please compile an x32 binary version? I tried to use Visual Studio 2010 to compile but it doesn't work.

Seconded, I have the same problem. Been stuck playing pseudoelli instead because R doesn't work.

IIRC VS2010 just hates C variable declarations that aren't at the start of blocks

so just find all the ones it complains about in the error log and move them and then it should compile fine

The first thing to do in Poschengband is to head straight to Morivant and hope to get ambushed along the way, because slaying the monsters that ambush you is free XP.

well the closest thing I can think of is InCaveAd's online server, where multiple players are thrown in a dungeon and can actively alter it.
If it's multiplayer you want you're in the wrong general. You can't multiplayer and keep the game turn based.

one guy might take 10 minutes on a single turn as he goes to make a cup of tea while trying desperately to decide on the best way to notdie
meanwhile another guy takes 100 turns in 1 second walking across an empty level to get to his stash

What is the difference between easy_id and no easy id?

With easy_id you auto-id things at level 25.
The message is "you evolve into a stone of lore".

Easy id gives you automatic pseudo-id and identify acts as *identify*.

is variant stuff.

default:
- pseudo-ID requires some time carrying the item before it kicks in. it upgrades to being instant at CL35
- certain classes get only weak pseudo-ID, making them unable to distinguish between good/excellent special or between bad/awful/terrible
- to know all of an item's properties, you need the expensiveish rareish *Identify* rather than just normal ID

with easy_id on:
- pseudo-ID is always instant from level 0
- every class has strong pseudo-ID
- normal identification reveals all of an item's properties; there is no need for *ID*
and also, in pseudoellimpa-r and similar variants, you get full blown- auto-ID (like from the stone of lore) at CL25
