Also I will likely have to kill the Great Nian Beast a third time. I want to get the moogle since my Zidane will want that right away for my second DW(that will likely go to Firion or my second Agrias). Just gotta remember to use the bomb fragments after I overkill it.

I got the other two missions done though for the free summon ticket and the Tamer's Whip. After I accomplish that, I will spend the rest of the time grinding out AG to 6* and then leveling up Ling/Rain/Xiao/Luka and Cecil 2. Once they are done leveling, back to the TMR farms for me.

So when you fight the Great Nian Beast, when it uses Preparation, you don't need to guard with every unit to avoid A Tooth For A Tooth on the next turn.

I just accidentally attacked with Cecil while guarding with everyone else, and he didn't use it. So you might be able to get away with one unit not guarding, or maybe a normal attack doesn't trigger it, or something along those lines, but he didn't use it and I didn't guard with all of my characters.

I failed this too. When I tried it myself the way the wiki suggested, the damage from Diabolos happens well before Noctis or Luneth gets their damage in. Not sure if Chizuru is any faster, but doing Diabolos when they suggested is pretty poor timing.

So I have two lightning damage boost equips for Kain and Lightning Dive is at 4 uses. What's better DPS - Blood of the Wyvern and Lightning Dive spam or Lifesiphon -> BSB -> Lightning Dive spam? Also should I use a spear damage boost RM or Ace Striker?

So what counts as Black Magic? Can I still use Ace's card attacks or those count as Black Magic?

Unit status screen > magic tab

Anything that has a black circle on the bottom right is black magic.

Ace's card attacks don't count as magic since they are under the special tab.

Prepare your limit on bosses as their life is higher, before they get angrier at lower HP values.

Not really. Bar fira/thundara/omniveil, cheer+embolden should be enough if you got good heals. Just dispel when needed and dont activate the counterattacks
