Florida has over 100 plates and only one of them is black and it's the new UCF plate. Looks pretty cool on my brother's car and would fit nicely on my car but I didn't go to UCF.

Regular license plates only need to be sophisticated enough for cops and cameras to see them at a distance for basic identification.

You would need to get very close close to scan that bar code, so there must be different needs that barcodes meet.
Maybe the plates can be moved between cars at will unlike regular plates ad that barcode tracks the history of the plate regardless of the vehicle?

Is it legal to put a sticker on a license plate? I live in SoCal and my work recently started requiring us to have a parking permit in a form of a sticker. I ride a motorcycle without a wind shield so I was thinking of sticking it on the corner of my plate where it's not obstructing anything at all.
