People have called my cards shit before and when they do that I look at the card in question and think about it. Is it actually shit? If I find myself agreeing with user's assessment, I change my card around and try again. If on the other hand I find that I like my card, then I just discard the opinion. Because that's what it is - An opinion of an anonymous person on the Internet.

It's not really about strength or success, it's more to do with how you validate your success. You seem to rely heavily on other people to approve your every move, which I imagine is very mentally draining. Instead you could just validate internally.
Seriously though, if you do validate your actions and work on the opinions of others I recommend that you don't, because you're going to surround yourself with people who will take advantage of it.
