Are aftermarket taillights welcome here?

I've always loved the s2000's tailights. Not my favorite, but still in my top 10 easily. Very minimalistic, while still being pretty and elegant.

But like, why though?

I'm in a bind, on one hand I want to preserve the iconic lights on my IS300 because it's basically what it was known for. On the other hand I want to "modernize" the looks of the car and remove some "rice", but a lot of aftermarket taillights end up looking like pure rice as well.

Just saw pic related and I think maybe they look alright.

I missed them because they're not as good.

I like the CRX. IT looks nice. But the taillights, connected or not, are a weak spot.

Sedan and coupe are different, own a sedan tail lights are still nice but coupes look much better
