I'm honestly just trash at making waifus so I've stopped trying to be honest.
Andrew Watson
I know you guys aren't exactly the best people to ask this, but how are the super low quality versions of the texture replacers listed on tesgeneral? I'm on a burning toaster, but I refuse to believe textures should be this blurry everywhere and that it would be that much of a performance killer to just look decent even if not 16k
Gabriel Diaz
depending on their resolution, they should look better than vanilla skyrim by default, which is mostly 256x256 and 512x512 with the occasional 1k for certain things. The free HD DLC is a bit better if you have it.
Wyatt Hernandez
I made my first script dependent mod today /tesg/. I hate papyrus.
I vow here, on my honour: I will NOT download script-heavy porn mods.
Charles Williams
yeah thats it
you usually can just point it at a directory and let it process the textures for you, so nitpick.
Jayden Walker
Alright, thanks.
Carson Morris
Thoughts on beards for khajiit?
Xavier Nelson
>have to play the game on a 5 year old laptop because poorfag >still got around 150 plugins going but it takes work >one script too much, 2 extra added NPC's and it all comes crashing down >can't even have steam open because it would take too much processing power >every time I start modding it will take me at least 2 evenings to get that precarious balance right with multiple managers, programs and sorters >mfw i see some kid with a $1300 new rig complain, bitch and moan about how throwing his 450 mods randomly into NMM doesn't work >mfw later he starts threatening some poor mod maker that he didnt make his mod compatible with Skyre
These people should have tried modding Oblivion ffs
Wyatt Ramirez
need to be unique for khajiit, not some cheap port of another race's beard
I've a patch for Blackreach Railroad, that'll fix most of its transfer-related issues. I've also got one for WoL that I'm soon to upload.
Tyler Reed
If it's any consolation, user, I have a pretty damn expensive rig, and I'm still just as autistic as you are. If not worse.
Some of the interiors literally just have like one ambient light source that lights up the entire place. It's really painful.
Grayson Russell
>Some of the interiors literally just have like one ambient light source that lights up the entire place.
Just like real life??
Jaxon Morales
...no
Light doesn't come from nowhere in real life.
Jackson Hall
...
James Butler
Yeah but skyrim doesn't usually make a lights using an actual light source, so it's a different issue here
Tyler Peterson
Looks weird as shit man, I think there would have to be new meshes/textures where it's just the face hair being longer to make a proper Khajiit beard.
Chase Smith
Do you have the fucked up fence textures at all? I submitted some small issues I found to the mod author: imgur.com/a/G0R03
Alot of the interiors have huge hit or miss lighting. I hope he fixes that, probably still a WIP since alot of places have one or two light sources.
Also, can you or anyone who uses Pirates of the North do me a favor? If you find your way to Ashcombe or Frostcombe, can you check interiors for missing tables? You should see floating items in corners. Im having missing tables and the author thinks it could be a missing mesh.
Wait till you go to the new land it adds. It's not amazing, but it isn't bad.
Kayden Stewart
I need something to cover up those fucking jowls. Textures for khajiit suck.
Grayson Butler
I do in fact seem to have a fucked up texture on that one specific fence. Weird.
I also have the NPCs with the wrong voices.
Surprisingly, I don't have a grey face bug.
Jason Myers
Stop modding for SSE
Jaxson Baker
And while I'm at it, any good khajiit hairs?
Wyatt Anderson
Does the table still have collisions as if it's there? Or do the items fall down when you bump into them
Zachary Allen
No. WoL's patch is up on Xbox, so if for some weird reason you actually play it on Xbox, go to town
Luke Hill
Odd with the NPCs, I also seems to get grey face when others dont.
I don't fully recall, I think it has collision cause the stuff just kept floating. Or maybe I didn't get close enough. What's odd is not every table is missing, this must be a custom one.
Justin Campbell
If there is still collisions, then it's not missing: it's just invisible. I had this happen to a few meshes in Beyond Reach, they all came from a castle pack. Whatever resource had the griffin statues and shit.
Anyway, what was happening was the texture it used was originally built to be a ground texture, so in my game it had alphas for ground parallax.
However, the mesh had an alpha properties enabled in it. Because of the alpha flag value, it detected the alphas in the parallaxed texture and went invisible.
The solution? Simply right click>block>remove the NiAlphaProperty in the .nif and save it.
Of course, it could be something else. But I wouldn't be surprised if that was exactly it.
Wyatt Martin
So basically now that you suck Bethesda's dick thanks them hiring you you'll support anything they do? When will you offer paid mods?
Adrian Anderson
Never, fuck paid mods.
Dominic Edwards
*MK screeching in the distance*
Jaxson Robinson
ayo maze them audio clips good we gucci we goo'd? cuz imma fuck off back into my drug coffin now.
Adrian Ramirez
Not him, but paid mods would be sweet. The talent it would attract would be amazing for the community, and the only """negative""" effect would be losers like Apollodowns or Tendo pulling their mods briefly.
The main problem with the implementation of paid mods before were the shitty shares going to modders.
Luis Miller
I've been spending a couple days making a mod that smoothly integrates spells left out that were in morrowind and oblivion and so far It looks like a lot of spells were superseded by more efficient or specific ones.
Weakness to disease is useless without a vector system in place. So is weakness to normal weapons because that was taken out of most dremora stats.
Disintegrate weapons and armor is almost impossible without skse because the disintegrate animation is locked in whatever function the disintegrate perk has. I'm looking into other attempts or dummy animations and replacing it with a pile of ash but that's worse case.
Levitation is another monster entirely, so is mark and recall and I have to find out which ones break the game in what dungeons.
I'm then trying to copy the combined casting here, and I haven't even confirmed if it's remotely possible or if I am going to have to jimmy rig hundreds of dummy spells to achieve the same effect. youtu.be/8PedZazWQ48?t=190
finally I'm trying to set up a separate system on the enchant table to spellcraft discovered spells (Either a player would succeed in combined casting a new spell or they would read a in-game book in skyrim that details the logistics.) I'm looking to use the Disenchant font but I can't find anything on Animation markers for it.
so far I'm 5% done all of this.
Jayden Campbell
Go away Toddler.
Asher Foster
The last time that happened Arthmoor put down a paywall that forced people to pay for a needed update or lose their save files and delete the mod.
Hundreds of mods were lost and people stopped sharing assets which really hurt the modding community, and still does with some mods now.
Finally it's a copyright nightmare that will pretty much kill the community. It's a bad idea and bad people abuse it, so let it go.
Nolan Kelly
>talent it would attract >all the paid mods were shit
Uh huh?
Michael Sanders
Should I use GCD for my first Morrowind playthrough or is that a bad idea?
Camden Lopez
The only thing it's going to attract, and did attract, were fuckers looking to make a quick buck, potentially with stolen work.
It's a fucking retarded idea and you are retarded for thinking that there is any upside to it.
Jeremiah Rivera
What's the armor Yarti's wearing?
Lincoln Nelson
Do Madd Leveler instead.
Nathan Moore
>paid modders >arthmor >chesko
>forever free fags >Apollo "If you voted for trump, I'm pulling my mods" Downs >SkyREEEEEE tendo
Yeah, nah. The paid mod crowd was full of talent.
Leo Hall
Clead uunp
Eli Flores
>arthmoor >has done hundreds of hours of work for free >asked to be compensated for work >he is bad.
No.
Elijah Parker
>work
Anthony Ward
>The talent it would attract No matter how generous the implementation, paid mods would never offer enough income to actually encourage new quality modding. There were two groups that paid mods appealed to:
1. Established, popular modders who could throw their mods up on the market to capitalize on their existing popularity (i.e. SkyUI) 2. Lazy shitters spewing low-effort shitmods for a quick couple of cents, mobile-game style
Oh, thanks for the tip Eiries-senpai. Ill give that a shot when I start working on rearmoring 90% of the npcs the mod adds.
Adam Lee
if he wants to be compensated for a hobby, maybe he should get an actual job.
William Peterson
whats the difference between the two?
Parker Young
>hobby wood carvers shouldn't be allowed to sell their carvings because it was a hobby to them. Those damn people trying to get money in exchange for services are the cancer that will kill the community, despite the evidence of every other pursuit in human history so far.
Go away Marx, you're drunk.
Lucas Ortiz
>implying that's even close to the only reason arthmoor is bad The fact that arthmoor was pro-paidmods is itself a criticism against paidmods
Jack Moore
Madd Leveler takes less liberties with the system. It's "if you level up skills, your attributes will level up as well", and that's more or less it. Pretty simple.
Alexander Flores
i thought that was pretty much how it worked with gcd, guess ill have to read into them more
Kevin Edwards
Thank you, did you convert it to uunp?
Kevin Powell
GCD rebalances a bunch of stuff.
Matthew Morris
Do you need to be reminded of 1983 video game crash, or the bubble that's about to burst in the mobile market?
Leo Reyes
What did he do to hurt your precious feelings, besides release at least one mod that I guarantee is in your list right now.
Jeremiah Allen
>person arguing for paid mods is a retard
Every time.
Elijah Hughes
>a game market crashed once, then rapidly recovered, and this is evidence that nobody should ever be compensated for their work ever.
Yeah, go die in a gulag stalin.
Carter Taylor
Gonna need some fresher bait than that.
Jackson Cox
That's not what I was implying at all, but you're clearly content to fling insults instead of having an actual conversation, so have fun talking to yourself my dude.
Kevin Sanchez
>I'm asked to explain my position >better just call b8 and leave before I have to support something with facts.
Juan Walker
>mfw installing all the essentials without even trying the game once
What relevance does the 1983 video game crash have to your point? It amounted to a shitty year for video games, but didn't actually kill the market. In fact, video games have since rebounded into one of the strongest industries in the economy.
If you're trying to use the video game crash as an analogy to paid mods, then what you are saying is that paid mods would result in a short term bad market (observed), before rebounding as people got used to the system into a better market than ever before.

Good luck, senpai. Did the same thing a couple months ago when I re-installed and I wound up spending a weekend doing nothing but troubleshooting and drinking. I think it's more fun than playing the game, sometimes.
