Your engine bay will never be this clean

Get out
...
Post some clean american or euro engine bays. I dont care (unlike you)
>Hiding wires because it looks cool or whatever
Kill yourself
>not a real enthusiast
I think you are confusing enthusiast with OCD bruh
>being mad about patients and skill
Here. Since you prefer clutter
>clean
Did you mean empty?
This make you feel more at rest?
>c4 corvette
Not him but careful triggering my dong. C4 engine bay may not be as "clean" or empty or whatever the hell as those 4 banger cars but i could look at that engine all damn day.
>single oil cap
throw it away
Seriously? this makes me feel sick
No it won't because I drive my car.
Seems pretty clean to me, OP
Nigga that isn't even that cluttered.
No, you're posting later models.
this is a 1986 C4
Good lord
How do you keep your engine bay clean? Mine is all rusted and filthy and gross and some of the nuts are rusting off. I mean it's a 15 year old car, but what are you supposed to do to prevent it?
eh its clean enough for me
Have oil leaks. All the oil will coat the metal and prevent rust
Its a C3.. you can clearly see the fenders curve.
that pod filter sure as fuck isn't, jesus change that shit
...
And? It'll just get dusty again after a single drive
>No intercooler
EW
>making everything inaccessible or hard to reach.
Looks cool, I guess.
Sadly weren't offered with the intercooled version here... been toying with the idea of installing one, but not sure if its worth it due to stringent rules and bi-yearly inspections
Do it, even just a shitty little top mount you can swap in/out for the inspection would be a massive improvement.
A soarer/supra factory side mount intercooler would work literally perfectly, pic related
So should I just poke some holes in various parts of the engine until the rust goes away? I don't know anything about cars btw so I don't actually know where the oil is.
>patients
I keep the bits that need to be clean clean, the rest idgaf about
What's the purpose of having a hood at that point
Should I clean my engine bay with the hose method? Car is 20 years old never been cleaned. It isn't that dirty I am worried the brittle and weak old hoses and other parts of plastic will deteriorate more from being wet and maybe other problems will crops up. Would be nice to be able to look at and work on a nice clean engine though. I am thinking of just taking a blower I have and blwoing out all the debris and then just spot cleaning with a rag and degreaser. There are leaves and bits of battery corrosion and other things around the engine bay.
>no accessories
>short pipe intake
well, if you like your shitbox without power steering, AC or cruising efficiency, then yeah it looks clean.
>cruising efficiency
What did he mean by this?
>needing PS or AC
Pussy
The plastic is really expensive to replace at the dealer.
What's the point of that filter on the valve cover? It's on the crankshaft ventilation right?
Why paint the battery/terminals?
Prevent corrosion im assuming
r8 my clean, I know the cover paint is peeling off.
w124?
because my car isnt a show car. I have stuff like air filters and an alternator
W202, it say kompressor
Why are toyota 4bangers so fucking sexy
>richest car company
>can't even design your own DOHC head
Point at his poor choices and laugh.
>Jesus with this obvious shilling
This is why I spend no more than 7 contiguous minutes at a time on this shit board, because of the toyotard shills.
Pretty sure they spend more money paying yamaha than they would have their own engineers.
Mad?
Even more mad?
>shilling 30 year old cars
Okee dokee
>shilling products that literally don't exist anymore
yea ok
They just do
>valvecover
FTFY, dumbshit
not the person you responded to but heres what a bone stock miata engine bay looks like.
you're right. my engine bay actually has an engine in it. You know, one that produces torque.
How that insecurity treating you?
Here have a toyota v8
>muh torque
youtube.com
Just listen to that screaming redline
You know you're whoring the brands legacy because the current offerings are bullshit. You know you're raping the fuck out of every bit of that You know you're keeping the Toyota brand name at the top of the catalog in any way you can with the most pretentious posts. You know you're scumlord shills. You know your mothers are certified whores.
WHORE!
rude
u know u want it ;>)
see how it's dirty and no one cares?
yea, torque.
>Having a turbo with no intercooler
For real?
It's just an engine bay thread. Post engine bays or gtfo
It's diesel and pretty low boost.
To vent blowby crankcase gasses to the atmosphere
am i doing it right?
PCV valve
Instead of a filter they route a hose from the PCV to the intake pipe, which is stock. The filter is called a "breather" and just catches the oil carried along with the air pressure released from the PCV. You wouldn't want some oil into the intake because it may cause engine blow by and it ticks me off how manufacturers still connect the PCV to the intake for "emissions" when it doesn't really do anything.
An alternative to the Breather is having a Oil Catch can connected inbetween the PCV-Intake hose so you have the air still passing through the system but the oil is separated, you will have to empty the can occasionally though.
When I need to fix something, I don't want it to be hidden away.
You must have a euro car that always has electrical issues
Step your game up, nigger.
member when engine covers just made the engine look nice instead of blocking your view and access to components?
I mean it's okay, just makes it easier to work on. It's nice when shit isn't grimy.
Shaved engine bays are really neat and cool to look at it. Wouldn't ever do it myself though, I prefer factory. I like to see everything in the engine bay that makes the car what it is. Why hide it? There's more to a car than just the engine itself.
...
You can get a similar effect by forgetting put your oilcap on and then driving the car around. Enjoy your potential fire in the engine bay.
Where is the battery?
In the back of the car
Wish mine still looked this "clean" 14k miles into my swap, still need to throw my headers on.
The oil strainers on these engines need vacuum to work properly but you don't have to take my word for it.
Working on mine. Big single or twin turbo. Haven't made up my mind yet. Gonna do candy blue powder coat mostly everything. Gotta clean up the firewall.
Which engine is this? Best c4 intake I've ever seen
dumb newbposter
gtfo
LT5 from a C4 ZR1
Ty bb
Well of course not. My car sees more use than just being driven on and off trailers at car shows....
It's okay for a 14 year old car.
>retarded mirror photoshop
What the fuck are you trying to achieve here?
Thats the hood after the hood
This
They won't idle when you're letting metered air escape.
My old 2013 Mazda 2 at 40K before I sold it. I have a '16 3 now but it only has 4K so its still clean.
Whoops forgot pic.
>half empty dumpster
Fixed that for you.
Where's the engine?
>cover electrical components in plastic bags
>soak engine bay in diluted Mean Green/Purple Power/whatever (3 parts water 1 part chemical
>scrub if desired
>spray off with hose
>spray on some tire shine to protect rubber parts
>marvel at super clean engine bay
>180 at the crank
Im fine with 410rwhp and a thin layer of dust
Yeah its comfy and easier to work on because eveythings in the stock location
Can i block off the pcv port for the intake and route the pcv hose to the floor
That looks really nice without having to have everything autistically tucked away
>Having an unsightly engine in your engine bay
For what purpose?
>RAN LAST TIME PARKED
>I DONT NEED ANY HELP SELLING THIS
>I KNOW WHAT I GOT
Sure
>haltech
Sick m8 tyte tyte our pals at haltech have given us a free ecu and turbo yoda will install it for free chop chop m8
I bought it new in 2015 but it is still really clean because whenever I open the hood to inspect fluids, I will also do some cleanup on parts including dusting them off. Even the engine cradle area way down below gets wiped off. So it still looks like new.
Doing a little each time is much better than letting things get totally dirty everywhere and facing a much bigger (and annoying) clean up job.
