There's multiple options. The other user mentioned the D4FT already, which I haven't seen done but I'm planning to pull it off myself and document the entire thing.
The other, quite commonly done option is the 1.4T from the R5 GT Turbo or its contemporaries. Same engine family as the C3G found in pre-1999 (I think) Twingos.

Just curious, do you plan to begin this project this year or is this rather some HalfLife 3 tier soon?

Yeah you will probably have more fun with the Swift.

The new Twingo is RR but they did really EVERYTHING to suck all life out of it.

Their main target are women and teens with that car and going RR is already kinda risky for them and if there was ONE case of the car going into oversteer, all soccermoms and bored bitches on FB would go bezerk and spread the new ~how dangerous~ the car would be, making the selling numbers plummet.

That's also the reason why I doubt there will be a really hot Twingo of this generation while similar sized cars in some cases even get over 200hp just because they're idiot proof FWD or AWD.

They don't dare to try to turn this Twingo into a rear engine, rear wheel drive turbo monster for under 20k. They fear the wrath of soccermoms of the fuccbois who wrapped around trees.

I live in Europe and I've never seen anyone fitting the "soccermom" description driving a Twingo. It's always young adults driving it, mostly men.

It's not quite HL3-tier, but probably won't be this year either.
