fist

Just so i know, in ds3 whats the average level for the end of a casual single player playthrough

Overrated boss

i really love running around naked
is wearing no armor in DS3 a huge downgrade compared to, say, just wearing the swordmaster's rags?

first for sully

Agreed. Every single boss in the Nioh Alpha, Beta, and last chance demo were more challenging, just as an example.

Shit, old thread hit bump limit. Is the nigga I was discussing DS3 quality builds with still here? I was going to say I didn't get enough levels to get to 40/40 in DS1 while also keeping VIT and END high. These were my DS1 attributes when I beat the game. What do you think I did wrong, and what level range do people typically reach in DS3?

quality wasn't as much of a thing in DS1, due to no refined infusion.

Probably somewhere around 80-90.

Why do you insist on this fucking insufferable namefagging?

I like melee, but I want to spice it up a little,
Like some support spells/miracles.
Because I know, If I equip main damaging spells/miracles, it would be very tempting to not use them during the boss fights, which could make the fight boring.
I'm not even talking about pvp, where it's very easy to read such attacks.
Oh that's sound fun. Maybe you can recall the channels name?

This is why, it gives him attention. Just leave him be, and he'll fade into the background. Trying to get a reaction from him doesn't end well, ever

Most common level range is 120 in dks 3 because the community has been invaded by the same retards who enjoyed dks 2, who think builds have more variety when you softcap 4 of your 9 attributes. They always go 40/40/40/40 because "MUH VARIETY, MUH MORE WEAPONS AVAILABLE" then never use anything beyond whatever the best quality greatsword, curved sword and straight sword is. Play 99-100 if you want to fight actual builds, 120 if you want to be miserable and hate the community even more.

PSHHH

He's a tripfag and loves attention, just don't reply to him.

It also makes it easier to filter him.

Basically in DaS1 you want to stick to Dex and use dex weapons, in DaS2 you want Str and use Str weapons and in DaS3 you want both.

PvP meta in DaS3 is 125

Kek I'm not sure I follow this about actual builds and hating the community.

Why are players from China such hostile cunts?

They're communists

they aren't though, they just have a party with communist in its name that are dictators and killed off people who originally supported them after they went dictator instead of communist

>in DaS1 you want to stick to Dex and use dex weapons
I thought STR vs. DEX was pretty hotly contested in DS1. I personally went DEX because I liked the winged spear and halberd so much early on.

Your first mistake is thinking China is occupied by "people".

STR weapons in Dark Souls 1 were absolute garbage at everything except being Backstab Sticks. I'd say even Dark Souls 3 STR weapons are better, because at least you have the Millwood Battle Axe and Yhorm's.

So is magic good in DS3?

But at SL100 you can still be matched to people at 120?

It's annoying, and if you underestimate it, you can be destroyed by a good mage. But I don't know if I would call it "good".

Its not really op but you can manage. Great for invades but in a duel people will just roll out of the way.

Play at 100 if you want to see strength builds, dex builds, pyromancers, mages.

Play at 120 if you want to see
>washing poles at 40/40 that always have 419 AR
>refined dark swords at 40/40 that always have 433 AR
>every fight is against a player with Tears of Denial active
>no ultra weapons ever
>everybody parry fishing with caestus and hornet ring

Also should I get the Ashes of Ariandel DLC if I'm just started DS3 or is this all late game shit that I don't need right now?

Nah, it's a pretty bad DLC

Its not bad, its just short.

What about for PvE? I'm sure I'll dick around with PvP at least a little but it's not what I have in mind when deciding what kind of character I want to play.
Ah, I gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.

About to start my Cersei cosplay.

Wish me luck.

If you actually use your brain and don't just try to cheese with HCSM -> CSS it's the most annoying thing in the game to deal with.

The DLC can be accessed pretty early on, although the enemies will be really strong for you.

Don't mind the others, it's a really good DLC, only very short (this is what triggers the other Anons)

Well there are buffs in all three schools if you wanna do that.

>Cersei cosplay
Be sure to show us. I want to see.

It's one of the better builds for PvE but also really boring to play. It's the same shit every time
>cast weak, fast spell
>cast slow, strong spell while they're stunned by weak spell
Rinse and repeat. Bosses are a kite fest and 2-3 of the bosses have such insane resistance to magic that you're forced to carry a pyromancy flame around just to deal with them.

In pve after you get chaos orb on a pyro everything is cake. The only boss you'll have trouble with is Oceiros I think.

which one has more players though

How you do play a Cercei character? Act like a huge cunt until all of your phantoms die and then use a hail mary chaos bed nuke when youre cornered?

100 for PvE, duels, co-op, invasions. 120 for duels and rarely invasions.

Which type of magic are you referring to, sorcery? Is faith magic any good? Like is a STR (or quality) and faith mix viable/fun?

It is bad
>inundated with weapons that have generic movesets
>one boss, the NPC + midboss enemy doesn't count
>swarms of enemies everywhere in place of actual level design

No it wasn't. It was Dex, Quality, and Elemental. Str only really had the BKGA, and it was nerfed into the dirt.

>want to get DS3 GOTY
>it has a shitty ass cover art

Okay.

Can someone post a pyro build maybe lvl 60-80ish

Faith is garbage in 1v1s, okay in team fights BUT ONLY 3v3 ARENA. Can't use your healing spells on other invaders so invasions are garbage. 90% of faith builds are just Lightning Stake hyper armor trades with some minor regen and maybe a healing spell to run away like a bitch when you're low on hp in the arena.

Heavy Caestus + Regen builds are pretty fun but faith is garbage aside from just weapon buffing.

100s can get matched with 120s iirc

Sorry, I meant to specify for PvE, not PvP. I'm just starting the game for the first time. I've beaten DS1 and Bloodborne, and was just trying unsuccessfully to get into DS2. The controls/gameplay was just really poorly done.

As a 99, I can't invade or get invaded by 120s (118 max) for both covenant patches and red eye invades. I still don't know what the arena summon ranges are.

Can I invade a SL 120 as a SL 140 ?

Yes

How would you make the dragon from jojo move viable? Poise?

Ok thanks

Extremely pronounced buttocks

Hyper armor and insane damage. There's no way someone gets hit by that move ever so at least make it do worthwhile damage.

why is there no ds3 sfm porn?

Best starting classes for DS3? I know it doesn't matter past the first few levels but which ones are considered solid starting points?

Warrior.

First time playing Dark Souls III
I am a knight wielding a +4 butcher knife
I don't know which stats I should level up
My estus flasks are +1 and I have 4 estus flasks

...

Question for you guys. If you were put into Dark Souls 3, how far do you think you could progress until dying? This is assuming that the enemies have the same attacks. Imagine fighting a Lothric Knight that actually was as skilled as an actual person. Not good.

This is -surprisingly- a serious question.

Sorry, my phone is retarded and the rotation is akways fucked up

>get mage invader
>he spawns some homing beacon missiles
>keeps doing that and chasing me
>when they land it takes out all my health
>he's a competent dodger
from his gesturing i think his methods worked more often then not

Learn how to take a screencap first. And I don't mean take another picture of your tv.

Warrior for pure physical builds 99.9% of the time, Knight if you like some extra att for WAs for just 1-2 levels higher.

>I know it doesn't matter past the first few levels

>99s still don't know max upwards range is +20 +10% of their SL

You've been invading metacancer all along idiot

>all
meant half

a poker to finish the deal and they do well enough. Especially since invaders like that are rare.

When did they change it from DaS 1's +10 +10%?

Do we respawn?
Because realistically I'd be lucky to take down Iudex after that sludge comes out.
Unless I get to be a pyromancer, then I could last until maybe Farron Keep

Am I Undead or "Alive?"

If I'm not Undead then I'll probably die of dehydration or starve to death.

I would become the crestfallen warrior guy and just laze around in firelink for the rest of my life

>XD le DS2 is fanfiction!!
>The spurned child of the Abyss never dies, but phases in and out of its fringes.

Kill yourselves for taking souls lore seriously enough to call anything fan fiction.
All they do is self-reference and meme about convoluted time and space.

Well then PS4 just barely has any metafags then. Only time I ever see them is during euro and chink hours.

You're wrong again. DaS has no upwards limit

So many newfags.

The real question is how long you could handle constant dying before you went mad.

>we'll just get another grey shithole

nig, the entire DLC takes place in the kiln

we're not just getting another grey shithole, we're getting the greyest, shittiest hole they could possibly give us. This hole invented being grey and shitty.

The point is that SL 120 is something you've been facing a lot and the builds aren't samey.
You only made a placebo effect on yourself since you didn't know how matchmaking works

People too lazy to port models I guess
We've had the tools to get weighted and complete models since like a week after launch, so it's not like the first game where it took fucking years to get decent tools

Sorry, I didn't read the conversation and thought you were talking about summon ranges.

yeah the only dark souls thing i remember is the bird woman from ds2 or something plz dont hurt me senpai i only played ds3 and bloodborne will get ds2 soon.

Why is Sirris leaving irithyl? Does creighton in this game mean he beat pate? canon?

>sfm porn of Dancer

I now need it

Don't reply to me ever again unless you lose the name and tripcode first, faggot.

I wouldn't make it past Gundyr

Undead, but you start with "stats" equivalent to what you are like.

Spells are available, but I doubt at the very beginning.

You could have some nice conversations.

Please note. The enemies have the same attacks as they do in the game, but you don't. That's the main advantage you would have.

The answer to that is basically until you can't handle anymore. One user might be able to take it less than you and go mad after two deaths, but you might last five, or ten, or dozens of deaths before mentally deteriorating.

This

Plus if you're not happy with grey just get a fucking ReShade or SweetFX, or a combinaison of both. It won't get rid of the base "everything is grey", but the game will get more colorful, depending on which ReShade/SweetFX you choose to install.
No that can't get you banned.

>but you start with "stats" equivalent to what you are like.
0 in everything, great.

If I want to use some faith magic, are Cleric and Herald any good? Or should I still just go with Warrior?

Start either cleric or knight

>No VIG, END, VIT, STR, DEX, OR FTH
>Don't even know the physical/mental attributes for ATT or INT

Won't even make it past the first hollow in the graveyard.

>Don't even know the physical/mental attributes for ATT
just count how many spells you can cast, user
1 spell - 10 ATT
2 spell - 14 ATT
3 spell - 18 ATT
et cetera

Any particular reason you don't like Herald? That actually looks like a pretty balanced start.
