Well they already have both 6 speed manual and auto with both 4x2 and 4x4 in their other markets, so I don't see why they wouldn't.

looks a tad overweight. I liked my old 98 ranger because it was a nimble scamp of a truck.
>looks a tad overweight
Looks like its relevantly sized in today's market.
Honda Ridgeline?
I have a 2010 one of the last few before they stopped making them. I wish this new one was a little smaller but it looks a lot smaller than the new f150s which is just way too much truck
Not even close
Horrible.
aka superfat
That's the most substance I've ever seen is a post, Mr Shitlord
aka modern vehicle market
>1990 Ranger 4x4: 14,000
>2017 Ranger 4x4: 60,000
pumped? No.
Yeah.
Pointless.
$60,000? Sauce?
>base regular cab 1990 4x4 in US market
>top trim Wildtrak dual cab 4x4 in Aus market
>pointless
Elaborate
No m8. The top of the line, long box, 4x4 Ranger in the US in 1990 had a MSRP @ $13,800. If Ford sells a 4x4 ranger under $35k I will be surprised.
They do in Aus, so I don't see why they wouldn't in the US.
Inflation adjusted, or no?
14k in 90 is about 26k today.
>Elaborate
It's just another truck. No niche will it fill the F-150 doesn't. It doesn't even look smaller.
The Bronco will be just as bad if the Raptor sucks.
what do you think ya dingus
So you're saying an additional 27 years of safety improvements and interior accouterments aren't worth an additional $9k?
>>It doesn't even look smaller
Well the cheapest Chevy Colorado 4x4 is about $34k.
Great an American truck for lesbians to take the Tundra spot.
ok.
Maybe it will have the 3.5L ecoboost with 300+HP and all wheel drive.
When the base Tacoma goes for about 25k, no, I don't.
i've honestly given up on a good small truck coming to the US. i'm just going to get an isuzu NPR and throw a truck bed on the back.
Yeah
Is the public really clamoring for a smaller pickup? Ford got rid of the Ranger because, at the time, it cost about $21,000 and an F-150 started at $23,000. Given this, people opted for the F-150.
>complains about a lack of small trucks
>wants to buy a cabover as wide as a full size truck
the city versions (usually beverage couriers) aren't wide at all, have an INSANELY good turning radius, a 4 cylinder diesel, and shit tons of towing capacity.
we don't even get the good ones in the US.
Im really disappointed that every truck except the dodge looks retarded in single cab configuration

>Wahhh Reddit
Fuck it then don't look at it
>advancetrac
think i'm done with ford after this one. other than that i'd be pumped for a new ranger
>It's just another truck
Another midsize truck
>No niche will it fill the F-150 doesn't
Except coming in at a lower price point in a smaller category.
>It doesn't even look smaller
It's significantly smaller, especially in width.
You're complaining about the lack of something good, so why the fuck would you want to make an NPR useless by throwing a styleside bed on it?
>mah form over function
A) it looks fine.
B) you're a faggot
Is that the unsubstantiated troll thread that was contradicted by a Ford press release two days later?
that was my thought as well
Well considering the current F150 is larger than an F250 15 years ago, I can see a market for one.
>that photo
really makes me think
we tacoma now
>6 speed manual
Yeah fuckin' right. Even though the manual is offered in other markets, it won't make it to America. Dealers don't want them because they don't sell. They won't want to take them without a buyer already lined up; and since manuals won't be offered generally, it won't even be possible to special order one.
Don't ruin it for me, I'm hoping they will. No point in trading in my 2010 if they don't have a manual...
I would be if it wasn't ugly as fuck. I also wish it was a small truck like the old rangers, not trying to be like the Colorado and the Tacoma (which can't be beaten as far as mid-size trucks go).
>I would be if it wasn't ugly as fuck.
I don't get this criticism. It's a damn good looking truck. I think it's more to do with a conservative retards that're quick to judge something to be negative if they're not used to it.
>I also wish it was a small truck like the old rangers, not trying to be like the Colorado and the Tacoma
You do realise both the old Colorados (or Rodeos, or D-Maxes, or what ever Isuzu was calling them in what ever market) and Tacomas were once "old ranger" size too? Literally every single class of pickup truck has grown since the ninties. The difference is the North American Ranger hasn't had a new model for 20 years, so you haven't seen it grow with the other midsize pickups. The Global Ford/Mazda pickups have always competed as such.
I thought it was a Subaru crossover from the thumbnail desu. But that's mainly that unmistakable orange with blue badge they used to advertise the crosstrek or whatever
I hate anything that isnt manual, but ive driven these new rangers in australia. the box is so fucking bad i would take a cvt over it any day.
