expensive italian trash, what's to talk about?

FCA already squeezed all the life out of them, they moved on to Alfa.

its irrelevant

they havent done anything worth talking about in decades

They're just worse Jaguar

I went to an auto show where most brands have their cars open to check them out. Everyone was making fun of Maserati so bad they locked their cars.

it's not even a status symbol at this point

Because it's pretty much just for people that want to show they have money but don't care about performance.

Why does maserati even exist? FCA already has Alfa and ferrari for their luxury and performance cars.

The current Alfas are no different than the current Maseratis, and the Maseratis were "cool" first, so asking why they are pushing Alfa all of a sudden would be a better question. Ferrari was sold to the public years ago, it isn't part of FCA.

They're not talked about on Veeky Forums cause nobody here can afford one, and because they're not all about ridiculous figures so they're no goof for benchracing.

The Quatroporte and Gran Turismo are great looking cars with a beautiful sounding flat-plane V8s.
The Levante and new Ghibli are just FCA not knowing what to do with the brand - it's stuck in an awkward place because they're not allowed to step on Ferrari's toes and Alfa is climbing up towards it from below

Who?

QP and GT are cross plane, not flat plane, for good reason

ferrari engines work much like GPU/CPU cores

the ones that don't produce as much power or don't run as smoothly as the "grade" are repackaged as lower grade and sold for a lower (but still profitable) price.

maserati cars are the cars that use shit ferrari engines.

You're right mate, I assumed they were the same as the Ferrari version

Interesting theory, but completely wrong

If they were flat plane the QP would barely move until you hit 5k RPM, and the Duo Select cars would smoke clutches in 1k miles instead of 5k miles. There are other small differences like the cam actuators.

thanks for backing up my point bruh

That was the idea

Toyota 86 is talked about all the time.

to sum it up?

last gen cars were amazing.

and now they have come down in price to the point where an average user can actually buy one..

we can all rejoice in the fact we cant because of sht mpg and maintainance costs that bring it home real good.

..ferrari engine bro!

Ferrari cucked them into oblivion

Because they're a zombi brand which no one gives a fuck about, not even FCA.

>Always seen as the poor man Ferrari
>Live up to this day thanks to your rival
>Muh racing ''''''''''heritage''''''''' brand meme
>No car to this day who shows said meme, the last try was a decade ago with the MC which was mediocre at best
>Rely on the luxury market meme
>The competition outperforms you in every single way on your only market
>Not only that, but you're literally a decade behind them technology wise, even on your """""""newer""""""" cars
>Made an entry level luxury car which was skullfucked by both the critics and the sales
>Fell for the SUV meme and create an """""SUV""""" which is bad at being a fucking SUV
>all of this while having FCA tier reliability and costing more that the competition

They're only alive because FCA doesn't know what to do with them and because chinks and other kind of people who are equally retarded buy the cars believing they got some luxury italian machine.
