I'm leveling range at the moment with steel darts at sand crabs, got me thinking. Is the toxic blowpipe worth investing in the moment I reach 75? I only have the magic shortbow otherwise. I won't be PvPing or bossing any time soon, I'd probably just be doing low level slayer with it. I'm only about level 55.
Armadyl Crossbow looks way too expensive, Crystal Bow seems slow and also expensive, and I don't know about the other stuff.

crystal bow has been shit since the release of rune crossbow.
The only valid reason for using it was having the price reduced to min before rune crossbows release, which isn't even valid in osrs
This might sound real retarded, but I thought for sure the Rune Crossbow was a low level and bad weapon. But now I feel pretty dumb seeing it's actually level 61 and not too far off the Armadyl. I guess I associated it with the rune melee weapons which are only level 40.

Thanks, I was planning on starting RFD and finishing Lost City, after I got 60/60/40. Maybe Monkey Madness too since I got magic pretty high, and dscim looks like a pretty decent weapon.
Was also thinking of grinding out the dragon defender and train my def to 60 while doing it.

Two useful things you can do is go for a god cape and do the quest Animal Magnetism when you can, both give free and best in slot back items for those types of combat. Recipe for Disaster gives you great and dirt cheap gloves. Glory is cheap and useful for everything, but if you can afford it get a Fury. It'll pretty much always be equipped, it's a great and very long lasting investment.

If you've got prayer it's a piece of cake, real easy. I did it recently with 1 def and 1 prayer, at 60 magic, I used all my food but it still got done in one trip.
With 90 magic it'll be a breeze. Don't bring too much though, on the offchance of a pker.
