If the new lewdmod actually takes off I'd contemplate doing an AAR with it enabled. Mostly for the romance and fluffy stuff, but I was considering doing an earlier start for the next CK2 AAR so a solid slave system wouldn't be terrible either.

Another thing I'd like to ask is - should there be priority on male player characters, or female? Obviously there would eventually be content for both, but what do most people play? I personally lean towards female, especially as being a futa can give you much of the male content too, but I want to know. Or would the mod effect your playstyle?

It would be the same basic structure as last time, starting with a historical character and going from there. Although my autism would force me to disable matrilineal marriages, so I probably wouldn't be playing as a woman much if at all, unless the kingdom went seniority/elective for whatever reason.

Most of the reason I'd be using the lewdmod is just for the extra romantic events and whatnot, to help contextualize my relationships. It'd still be a historical game (no fantasy content), just one with a bit more possibility thrown into the mix.

Nothing, I mentioned when I was starting that work might get heavy (it has) and that I might be forced to delay the actual release by several months (I have been). I haven't started writing it yet, but the game is done and all the various images are already edited and organized. I just need to sit down and put the narrative together, although that's the most time-consuming part.

Meme AARs are literally beyond me. If an AAR isn't serious or at least has some plausible deniability for what's going on I can't get into it. And generally speaking the more historical it is the more entertained by everything that's happening I am (largely because the more historical the rules are the more difficult the game is).

Although it did just occur to me that I can marry distant branches of my dynasty to play as a female without getting a game over even if I disable matrilineal marriages, so reasonably I probably would have a few female rulers in the course of the AAR. Provided my succession is Agnatic-Cognatic.

Aw sweet! Do be warned though, I'm busy too, and all my Pdox coding experience is mostly with DH, and an extant with V2, so it may take a while to even see a vastly satisfying amount of content for the first version.

If you're doing anything like religious systems, CK2+ I think is better at this point. Not sure if HIP took CK2+'s religious systems.

And yeah, it seems female is the clear orient.

Not a problem. I'll be preoccupied for months yet, then I have to release the DH AAR, then I'm at least doing one Vic2 AAR before I proceed to anything else. My guess is it'll be until July at the earliest before a new CK2 AAR would even be on the table.

It can't be built as an add-on initially. Part of the reason this project is being done is because the guy doing it ran the core as his project, and it will not really be maintained since he's sort of tired and bored of it. That, and as far as content goes, we can host things that all of the people doing DW content are doing refuse to touch, and remove (albeit now optional) stuff we don't want. But again the core reason is it's a collaborative project.

These all could have been Dark World addons, but then we wouldn't ultimately be the final arbiters. If I/we fail at this core skeleton, at least we can fall back on Dark World and maintain our modules over here.

What's even the point of playing this game anymore, colonizing is a huge trouble when playing in Europe and the challenges you'd like to have as a non-European country barely exist (other than having neighbouring natives with surreal development)

Some people still manage to fuck it up.
I don't think I'm very experienced, but I find it incredibly easy to deal with institutions outside of europe now.

I like the idea of a more dynamic tech system but it really needs work.
A further problem I have even before the institutions was that the ahead of time penalties are so huge so you can't even be that far ahead. Like 1 tech.

Hello, I'm new to this genre, currently trying to figure victoria 2 out and there are a few questions that came up for me:
1. I notice when I attack an enemy province my army tends to shrink right as they enter. Is there any way to avoid those losses or do I just have to replace them?
2. What exactly happens when an army is greater than the supply limit of their province? Do they just start dying and having to be replaced?
3. When I'm a junior in a warring coalition in the sense that I can not negotiate peace, how do I know what the peacedeal actually was when it happens? Did I just accidently skip a window that told me?
