Anyone know how this bind change actually works? I notice all bind skills duration have been cut in half, but it says "increase duration depending on damage dealt". Does this mean the actual damage per line or the %damage on the skill? Should I waste my resources trying to get nodes for it?

are you talking about erda nova? I think it just binds longer the more dmg you do, prob to a cap of 15/20 seconds or some shit, haven't timed it.

It changes based on the class, for example DrK have 170% final damage, so where a thief might have 1.3m mine comes out to 2m with STR equivalent equips
