Nearly every hero has something to abuse, you people act like Roadhog can solo entire teams. He does what he's made for (snagging vulnerable heroes and executing them) and that's it.

I like healing because it involves skillfully denying the enemy team, there's nothing like letting them waste all their ults then getting a 5+ ress, or a sleeping their pharah, or nano boosting genji. Also, it seems a lot easier dpsing or tanking.

Don't get me wrong, I like teamwork and coordination, but I take pride in my own game.

The only thing that upsets me about healing is that it's really rare to a get a potg as any hero other than Mercy, split screen duo potgs when?

Hook is all Hog's got, he has no armor and his heal can be countered in many different ways if not outright burned through

How is that? She already one shots most of the cast with a fully charged headshot. If a fully charged headshot did 700 damage, flat. Like, remove the idea of a headshot dealing double body shot damage or whatever. The body shot damage is the same, but if she lands a fully charged headshot the person she shot is dead.

Had to add that caveat, because if she did 350 damage on a fully charged body shot she would be too much to deal with.

Honestly, I mained medic in TF2 because I enjoyed healing other people and supporting my friends/allies, playing Mercy in OW gives me the same feeling, but I agree with you that the shit about the psychology behind why people heal is silly. I just find it fun to support in games with healers over playing DPS because I feel I underperform with them and I don't want to do that.

Teamwork is another great factor into why I like healing and supporting, but sometimes its infuriating to have to work around my teammates, especially if they are denser than a bag of rocks, but I do it anyways because playing Mercy and Ana are fun to me.

Because against a good Widow it means everyone including tanks is absolutely required to hide behind Reinhardt at all times and set themselves up for a Zarya ult wipe, or risk instant death with no chance of counterplay otherwise. Automatically and constantly denying routes in a game with retarded chokepoints is by far the worst thing to play against.

"But it takes skill" isn't valid in a game initially designed to appeal to casuals.

I agree, and I'd like roadhog to stay powerful, but I feel his hook should be harder to land somehow. It's virtually an instakill hitscan on a 6 second cooldown.

What if his hook-on-a-chain actually felt like a hook-on-a-chain? What if you could control it while it's in the air by moving your cursor around and the only way to hook an enemy was to use a "wrapping" motion around their hitbox? Just hitting them with it would do just that, some damage and a short stun. I think this would raise roadhogs skill ceiling by a lot and be loads of fun.

Imagine the potential for sick skill-hooks around corners or at awkward angles. You could also just whip around in front of you and damage and stun everyone for .5s or whatever. It adds more versatility and makes him feel like an actual tank rather than a fat dps.

I remember the first time that happened to me. Dorado attack, and I went something like 18/0, and pretty much ran the game from the word go.
I have never gotten into that zone again, but god damn a good tracer is scary.
