If you have enough money to splurge you may as well. It doesn't hurt.

Materials are another thing though as even the level 2 upgrade requires some rareish shit.

There's really no best digimon, it just depends on whether or not you use items and which moves they got.
Moves you can rapidfire through orders like Mach jab or Thunderstorm are OP as fuck.
If you don't use items, attack moves that give buffs are amazing too.
And status effects are all around amazing

So how are you supposed to be getting some of the stats required to get to mega? Seems impossible with what I have access to and this first machindramon is a real ballbuster.

Each generation inherits stats from the previous.
Gen 6 here and my baby digimon are starting with 8k health and 400 in each stat.

Fight strong random enemies.
The stronger they are, the higher the boost to your stats, and it doesn't cost an ingame hour

A quick question about that, When you're meeting the requirements for multiple evos how do you go about getting a specific one? Do you look for whatever stat is unique or highest for that one and pump it or what?

Get the training bonus skill. You'll see a big increase in gains.

What color names am I looking for for a worthwhile fight for that? Is Blue the "About Even" color?

If you got multiple it goes to the top one that you havent evolve to in the evo diagram thingy.
If you got all, it goes to the top one.

Upgrade the dojo to lv2 to lock evos you don't want.

As soon as their next action is over, 5 seconds.
If you use it mid attack, the attack won't do damage and it might not come up, happens to me anyway.

Keep playing the game.
You eventually unlock a Digimon that lets you manipulate what Digimon your mons can and can't digivolve into.

So the main skills to go for are:

>Walking to regen HP/MP
>Training Bonus
>Generation Inheritance

Just fight and see how much you get at each stat.
If it's 20/24/26 keep fighting em till it drops to baout 10 per fight. If ti's less than 10, find somethign else

Evolution skills are very much worthwile
Learning skills are great too

Training skills aren't that useful

It becomes much easier to train on later digimons. I can get mine to ultimate-mega and still have like 12-14 days to mess around with them.

The only place I found is in the Ohguino Wasteland. Go down the ramp and head all the way to the right. You tend to get 3-5 at most.

With the Heaven's Blessing trainer perk allowing all of my Baby 2 Digimon to meet the prereqs for all of their Rookie forms, is their way I can lean towards a specific path?

It doesn't seem to be RNG. It actually seems to be egg-based. Like once you get the egg, it's just going to keep digivolving to the same thing. I quit my game 7 times, did different things every time and always got SnowAgumon. Then forced a death, saved on Baby 1, and it still kept only going to Renamon.

Im having so much fun is amazing this game even exists, a shame is not getting much buzz but Im thankful they made a follow up to DW1 at all
