You are given your dream car but the catch is that it's automatic.
Do you still want it?

Only a child would let this fact get in the way of enjoying something.

>Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
I'll live, I think.

...

of course I do

>CVTs
>faster

You should specify you disingenuous cocksucker. You can't afford something with an expensive dual clutch automagic grenade.

1976 911 turbo automatic would be kinda like getting a hot girl home and reaching under her skirt to feel a dick. some men would like that but I just lost my hardon

>Do I want it?

Not really. A core component of my dream car is a manual transmission. If I'm getting a car like that, it's gonna be about the driving experience, not theoretical "muh dct automatic is faster than manual on a track that I'm never going to"

>Will I take it?

Sure, why not.

:'(

>getting a hot girl home and reaching under her skirt to feel a dick
you'd deserve it for being a degenerate philanderer

umm, where in that pic does it say anything about CVTs? Im looking real hard and dont see it.

if speed was the point of cars / driving, no one would give a shit about American Muscle

thrillist.com/cars/nation/apple-carplay-heads-up-displays-car-phones

Yes, 440 Superbee

gay ... gave the wrong link

gearheads.org/10-classic-muscle-cars-a-minivan-would-beat/

It's a sedan, whatever. I'd rice it out if it were manual though. I'd just daily it and continue save up for a manual one

Here's the problem:
Putting down that much power is a challenge for any muscle car.
Frankly, they need wider tires and more gears

Isn't the point of American muscle that it's quick in a line but also comfortable and suitable to daily? And traditionally in the States automatics were marketed as luxurious, and when they became affordable everyone wanted in on them?

>Isn't the point of American muscle that it's quick in a line but also comfortable and suitable to daily?
Yes and for the time they were.
They haven't aged well obv.
>And traditionally in the States automatics were marketed as luxurious, and when they became affordable everyone wanted in on them?
By the late 60's automatics were extremely common.

>no

>degenerate philanderer
I've been called worse

Only if I can replace it with a manual gearbox ASAP.

If not, it's not my dream car.

Can I sell it and use the money to buy a manual one?

Jokes on you bitch! My dream car doesn't have a transmission!

Don't worry. She still has her hardon.

>she

Then it's going to lurch and clunk and change speed suddenly when you least expect it, just like an automatic.

>10 speed automatic
I think I'll be OK with this

>Sadly no ZL1 1LE because it isn't offered in auto

>I think I'll be OK with this
Why? It's shit, Just another product of the emissions era.

you're 'giving' me the car so i'm willing to jerk the engine out of dang ol anything and drop in a ford IDI diesel with a zf-5 so bring it. mmmm Ferrari Testarossa IDI.

Sure. Everyone knows automatics are better anyway.

>Regera
>One gear

Feels good man

Alright :(

>dream car is a rcied 240
k then

I wouldn't mind, as long as I'm able to manual swap it. Probably gonna spend 5-10k on the tranny and accompanying parts and making it work, and of course the time and beer spent and drank to finish the swap.

All in all a 10k R32 GTR doesn't sound too bad.
>inb4 le gee tee aru meme

A 10k 700 RWHP Z32 TT doesn't sound too bad either.

I would do it.

Fuck yeah nigga, hell yeah. I even convert from MT to AT

Unfortunately it already is.

>riced
How is an OEM Type X kit, wheels and suspension riced?

are you 14 or did you just get your first car (a civic) in a manual?

Imokaywiththis.jpg

>E36 328i in 5spd auto

Fuck yeah I want it

Yes, old muscle had some quick and good autos if I remember correctly

Favourites are the Superbird and Daytona closely followed by pretty much every other muscle inbetwee n 1960-1980 including landyachts like the Continental

>lurch and clunk and change speed suddenly
It's electric. No transmission.

That's your dream car? Not even an M3?

>autotragic
>good

pick 1 (one) & only 1 (one)

>You are given your dream car but the catch is that it's automatic. Do you still want it?

Of course. I'll pick the most expensive dream car and sell the fucker, then buy more motorcycles and build my dream shop.

I'm not a transmission autist. That's the fad among yuntards and I'm not one of those either.

The only reason to own a car is because you are toogay for baiku.

>dream car doesn't come with an auto option
dead stock 1970 Fairlady Z

yep

Decisive answer to the "can I live in a van?" threads. Even better if pulling an Airstream trailer.

Both, of course.
What makes you say that? Is it bad that I want an R32 GTR? It's a good looking car that has power and handling.

Then it's going to be altered so it will act like an automatic. With the lurching and the clunking and the sudden changes in speed.

tfw the riding season is only 2 month long

>6+ gear auto in a sedan or coupe
>any auto in a muscle car

I can do with that. For straight line cars autos are so much better. Perfect launches and full throttle computer controlled shifts

if its a built auto soup sure

I do want it yes. To sell, and get a manual car. I don't care about the prestige, I don't care about the speed as much. I want to feel the car.

>Calvin pissing sticker
Literally why?

Yes. Since no one said anything about having to pay for the maintenance, I assume I pay for it. So 328 comes before the M.

the pagani huyra is an automatic

>you get your dream car
>but it's not your dream car

OP what the fuck kind of retarded question is this?

It doesn´t even have a gearbox, how can it be automatic?

Jokes on you my dream car only came in automatic

Did Chrysler Turbines ever come in manual?

Not sure I could handle shifting a transmission hooked up to a jet engine.

No its not

Showed me.

You only get one car so it best be good.

Usually Turbines make only like 50% of their power at about 95% rpm, so you would have 5% of your rev range where you could use your power.
It would be almost impossible to drive such a vehicle.

>zl1
Hell yes that 10 speed rapid firing the shifts instantaneously make the car a fucking monster

a unimog? PLEASE let it happen.
who wants to deal with this mess

It isn´t as complicated as it looks once you understood the logic behind it:
one of them is the E-Brake, one is to choose 2WD/AWD/4WD one is pre gearbox one is 2nd Gearbox one is accelerator and the other ones are usually for equipment mounted to the vehicle.

t. drove one

>Willfully ignores DCTs.

Cry more, manual luddite.

well 2 dream cars are E92 M3 and the 911R, so yes and no. i want the M3 with the M-DCT anyway lol
if i try real hard i prob can find a car that i would only want with a manual (except 911R and older ferraris) but for the majority i'd be fine with auto.

...

all my dream cars are automatic... except the viper i don't think i could live with a automatic viper

It wouldn´t look that bad without the cables...

...

This picture explains it pretty good.

I forgot to add that some force is required to shift gears in a Unimog.
At least in the old military one I was driving.

it is quite literally agricultural equipment so it gets a pass for the convoluted mess it is

100% of the cars I want are either land barges or have piss-weak engines anyways, so of course.

I'm also not an autist who lives my life through memes.

>it is quite literally agricultural equipment
It is basicly everything, except fast.
It is a military troop transpoerter.
It is a military material transpoerter.
It is a railway maintainance vehicle.
It removes plants from the roadsides while driving with special tools.
It is a camper.
It is a plow.
It is a train.

>lotus 7
Is it a slushbox or dct and does it have shifter buttons?

they took a tractor and a pickup and splice them together its so obvious i don't see why others never followed suit

Dodges Power Wagon was close

It is called Universalmotorgerät (unversal motor device) for a reason.
There is pretty much nothing these vehicles can´t do.
Another good ting is, that mercedes kept it pretty compact, wich made it verry usefull even in urban areas.

Oh shit. Where do you live? My grandmother owns a beige one that im currently borrowing till my car gets fixed. Its in cali right now but she will be moving to texas around june. She is looking to sell it eventually because she basically hasn't used it forever. Automatic, Beige, 70k miles. only problem is that the front low beam just went out, but im gonna fix that anyways.

Well, I have a new favorite car

let me help you on your way
