Her plan was not that bad. It did have the poison plothole, but if Ouma hadn't found out, the chances at anyone discovering the way she set up the VR were slim to none, remember they only got through the VR configuration because Monotarou assisted them to figure out who killed Miu. If she had gotten away with murder it'd be easy for her to fake a different configuration, and no one would be able to prove her wrong, sans maybe Saihara.

But like I said, she always underestimated everyone's intelligence, so I don't think it's a stretch to assume she just shrugged it off.

Obvious, the VR program causes a physiological reaction when the victim is killed in real life- 1. you die, and 2. you act as if you are being killed in real life as you are in the game. Miu's hands are at her throat, her face is blue and she looks to be in pain. The VR program caused her body to truly think it was being strangled with all the appropriate physical reactions, so it has that capability.

It'd be some SHSL bullshit to say that Miu was able to program the VR world so that she could induce Ouma's eyeball membranes to explode when she killed him with a hammer (maybe by smashing his eyeballs?), but it's not out of the realm of impossibility.
