On a side note, Okinawa is the only map in the game I'm aware of that is actually modeled after its namesake.

Shells have weight and drag coefficients you fucking god damn retard. That and the muzzle velocity are what determine how long it takes you shell to get to where you aimed it. Not the fucking muzzle velocity alone. Do you even have both of those ships?

I just got the Des Moines very recently and haven't had the time to grind up the credits to have it fully upgraded (which is something i want to do before i play a match in it)
a couple of months ago (i forgot what the conversation was about) one of my friends who plays told me they have the same shell speed, i interpreted that as "Hang time".
to try and not make an ass out of my self which i have obviously failed at i made a very quick double check re-assure my self which is why i hastily posted those links.

No. Smoke is what makes them so darn good at high tiers. That bug just means you gotta be at at least 1/4 speed BEFORE popping smoke so that you'll actually stay in it instead of slowing down AFTER popping smoke.

That's only half of it. The other half is leading the enemy on a game of Ring a Ring o' Roses around an island. That way you can shoot at them but they can't shoot back.

It's getting a fix in the next patch. It should work much more reliably then. I wouldn't forego smoke unless you're divving with a USN DD.

Its getting fixed in 6.1. You will always get a 2nd puff of smoke, thus fixing it.

Hide and lob shells over islands in the first few minutes like an Atlanta. Start actively hunting DDs when the big guns have died.

Or you could form a Cruiser Wolfpack. Your role is more of an AA platform and a Destroyer hunter.

It's nice if you play ships that like to hide in smoke. If you play anything that likes to keep moving it's not as good.
