Redcrits are fine, and do increase DPS if you get them for free, like with the dread/amprex. The problem is when you use a mod slot to get them, like with the tonkor, instead of using it for something that actually matters.

They scale exactly as good as regular crits. The problem is that some people think that being able to redcrit magically gives them a huge boost in DPS.

Imagine going from 100% to 110%. The dps boost is exactly the same as going from 90% to 100%. In fact, for higher crit multipliers it's even less.

I use 'objectively' ironically most of the time, but in this case it literally is objective. Redcrits objectively scale exactly the same as regular crits. Being able to redcrit is meaningless.

Warframe builder is fucked for me atm, showing incorrect damage numbers for the exact same build even with crit left checked.

Unless the flux was nerfed again within the past month and i didn't find out yet.

Sculptures can get you endo or even plat.
A greater lens can't be fucking traded.
So I get greater lenses in my inventory for schools I don't even use. Basically fuck all for a sortie reward.

ive ignored all of this but in those two statement I feel i can understand whats being said.

with Red Crits its 100% crit chance + 1%. 1% of the rounds fired will be red.

its like having 2 guns. 1 with 100% crit chance and a 2nd with 1% crit chance.

if you have a weapon under 25% crit chance when youve already thrown on crit chance mods, you will be gimping your self trying to force the crit chance higher. When you hit red crit range, in most instances you are better off either throwing on more crit damage or elemental mods, since you will rarely see or benefit from red crits. And if you do, it will deal red crits with no damage to back it up. like using an Amprex with only crit chance mods.

Soma Prime is a pretty good example of this, working better with more crit damage and a bit of status chance. Push it far into red crit range its you'll be dealing 60 damage red crits.
