Are pickup trucks the best looking they have ever been?

Are pickup trucks the best looking they have ever been?

lol god no

If you like the look of transformers, sure

Fuck no. What are you, high?

holy shit no. New trucks are ugly as sin and grossly oversized.
The last good looking and properly sized pickup trucks were the GMT800 Silverado and Sierra. Everything after just got uglier and bigger for no real reason.

ITT Anons put in there rosetinted glasses and get nostalgic for boxy trucks.

>get nostalgic for boxy trucks.
Last I checked, the GMT800's are less bosy than new trucks.

>op is butt fractured because people don't share his opinion

Certainly better looking than anything else in the last 25 years, but 70s and 80s trucks are still superior in design.

I recently saw a "caribou" F150 in person, and I thought it was beautiful. You have to see it in person.

Boxy design was shit. 50's were where it's at.

>nostalgic for boxy designs
>Born late 90's
Nice try but others anons have it right a mid 80's c10 is the height of truck aesthetics

Not even close.
The 50s were the best generation.

As with most things, the beginning of the end is always the best part.

try 50s-60s

...

this

no because modern american cars look like hot wheels toys
>camaro
>corvette (especially edgy rear)
>ford trucks

Fucking no.

I concur

Early 70s

I want to know what (((designer))) thought this was genuinely an aesthetic choice.

We have six of these at work and like all ford trucks made after 79 they're ugly and shit.
>get 2017 F150 in
>on the way back from the dealer notice it pulls to the left
>say something to boss when I get back
>"oh yeah all our new ones did that"
>putting tool boxes in
>co worker under truck with flashlight
>can see light through tons of little cracks and pinholes in bed floor
>bosses truck(2016) shakes hard at stoplights sometimes
>dealer can't find the problem

The one good thing I will say is the ones with ecoboost are pretty quick when you put them in sport mode

when car designers actually liked cars

so the Chevy commercials are true.

...

outta my way shitlords

>having any doubts to begin with

kek

If that truck was steel it wouldnt have crumpled like that.

>implying ww2 soviet trucks are not fucking sexy and indestructible with a stalinwood bed.
ITT: Capitalists

model a

>shitlords

oh gosh

given most truck owners haul air it is like they're doubling down going even bigger and with more added comfort options

i just want a small hot rod truck!

Warm, but no dice.
Trevor?

Yeah but what's the car behind it?

I actually like trucks ranging from old to new. Though I wish automakers would give their single cabs trucks more love. I would much rather prefer a single cab with a nice comfy "luxury-like" simple interior (like pic related) over a four door monstrosity.
I prefer single cabs over crew cabs as it defeats the purpose of a pickup due to the limited space in the bed because the cab take up most of the bed's room. (and plus nobody rides with me because im a lonely faggot)

My only option is the discontinued Ford Tremor. I would make one from scratch, but I'd rather not bother because I'm a lazy fuck as well.

Trucks peaked with the first gen Cummins and have gotten progressively worse each decade.

I'm with ya, but the market has spoken and it's 4 doors all the way. Even those that buy work trucks are buying 4 doors instead of single cabs now.

Extended Cab, SuperCab, King Cab, Double Cab = meh, get an suv

There is something really cool about being in a regular / short cab because even a little roadster isn't quite as much of a tiny self-contained cockpit.

With an extended cab you get the luxury of angling the seats back for a rest but that's what bench seats were for.

That truck is steel ya dingus.

>able to rest on a bench seat

Manlet detected

>all these one-dimensional fedoras who only like old trucks
I like old trucks and all, but the new raptor looks great.

>Not laying in your truck with your feet out the window.

>that short bed

This does things to me.

Why are trucks so big these days? What purpose do they fill these days?

now is the best looking trucks have been since 70-80s but performance is leagues ahead in newer trucks

Realistically I'll never drop 50(60?)k on a truck and it's less capable at actual truck shit than its cheaper siblings due to the desert racer meme.

Most people here are the same or poorer desu.

Why hasn't Nissan made a good looking truck?

...

...

Becuase Nissan hasn't made anything good looking for 20 years.

Nissan hasn't made anything good in 15 years., good looking even longer.

People think bigger is better.

or to fit big fat murrican asses

>single cab with a nice comfy "luxury-like" simple interior

why isn't this being done?

in a small "regular" cab you could do twice as much for the same cost

do I have to go custom?

I think new Rams are beautiful tbqh senpai

I work for an electrical company and one of the electrician's in the company has a fairly new dodge ram 1500. He actually uses it as a work vehicle with a cover on the back with built in parts trays and he uses it to tow trailers with scissor lifts, on of our larger lifts or snowmobiles when he goes up north

4x4 also come in handy because the are around where we store our lift can get muddy and our work vans get stuck

However driving around all day on service calls it's pretty clear that 90% of brand new Xtra large murica sized trucks go unused other than their daily commute

Nah.

no lmao what the fuck

oh god my dick

>mfw that's not a 2016

>Caribou

yeah, at my last job there was a painter who rented a space in the same complex as our company did who had a Lariat in Caribou. Optional 20" wheels and matching shell. It was a pretty truck.

lol no

What's so bad about it? Doesn't even look like the average derpy 2010s american truck

>bosses truck(2016) shakes hard at stoplights sometimes
Happened to me in my car and it was the spark plugs

>t. quentin

all modern pickups were made by faggots who played the halo series growing up and are all bough by brofags with small hands who wear stupid hats from lids and tint their windows and lift their truck so people cant look them in the eye or flip them off for driving like a prick

>spark plugs
meant to say the ignition coil

boner jamz 2017

It's a meme, you dip
