Your argument is really fucking bad because you keep predicating it on this idea that all of the female characters looks exactly the same, and the only thing differentiating them is their weapons. This isn't even remotely true, and you know that. Say you want female monsters/non-human characters, fine, but don't act like Ying and Kinessa look exactly the same aside from their weapons. I agree that the cast needs less human females, but that doesn't mean Tyra and Skye look the same.

So I just played 3 games as ying. I have multiplayer anxiety and decided that I will play 3 games a day against real people.
The first 2 where a steamroll and the third they kicked our asses and I did the least healing and damage compared to their grover and pip.

But I don't remember the names of my teammates and I hope they don't remember mine as worst ying ever. Also I play with 20-30 fps so I can blame that.

I'm on the path to defeat multiplayer anxiety and enjoy paladins again!

the issue isn't that they can be bought for crystals right now
right now they're full of pretty much nothing but gold so there's no problem
the issue is that they will STILL be able to be bought for crystals in the next patch
AND they will grant the player dust for opening duplicates
that dust is then used for crafting cards and upgrading them
yes upgrading, this has been discussed as an upcoming feature
so
use your fucking brain for two seconds
if you spend real money on crystals
the buy radiant chests and get dust from them
you get dust for real money
you then use that dust to craft or upgrade cards in order to give you a leg up against other players
if a player does not spend money, they can obviously still buy radiant chests
and yes, they can obviously still craft cards
but they have to earn gold and level ups by playing the game in order to get those radiant chests

now, using your brain just one more time, can you try to guess which player gets WAY more dust and thus WAY more advantage?
A. the free player who gets maybe a few radiant chests per week if they play super often, and will earn dust over time
OR
B. the guy who just dropped $100 on crystals for radiant chests, and got a large lump sum of dust from opening all of them

if you can't figure it out, the answer is B
so once again
if you pay real money for crystals, and then use them to buy radiant chests, you gain a real, quantifiable advantage over the players who are not spending real money on crystals
that's the definition of paying for advantage
and if you say "oh but you get crystals for free for daily logins" so help me god
that's not a part of the argument because somebody spending money on crystals can ALSO get those free crystals for logging in

I'm probably judging Maeve too early, but... I thought at first that she's going to be stupidly broken like Evie with her constant mobility, but it seems that it's not going to be a case, Maeve has longer cooldowns on her abilities. Unless her cards lower them to the Wormhole or Cassie's dodge roll bullshit levels, we should be good, right? Right?

Well yeah, no fucking duh user. Literally any character can be boiled down to a boring concept if you're actively working to boil it down to a boring concept. Half the male cast is basically just masculine guys with weapons. I mean Viktor and Buck are essentially the same, right? Only thing interesting about them is their weapons.

Also, the cast is skewed towards male characters so of course there's gonna be more male designs. This is because the game is an FPS, and is clearly marketed towards a male playerbase. Marketing being what it is, the overwhelming majority of male gamers don't want weird monstergirls in their game, they want soft, cute girls with round, bouncy tits. Minority players like you don't even count for pickles when Hi-Rez designs a character; the majority first-person shooter playerbase does, and those players want radical dudes and sexy chicks.

And let's face it, even if they surprised everyone and added something like, say, a female orc, you'd still be the first to bitch because they're "just a blue human with some tusks."

Buck might not have enough damage to kill her before she runs away. Slowing net might help though.

I wish the champions interacted more. I know the game has some of this stuff, but I still think it's not enough when compared to other hero-based games, especially MOBAs. I want more champion shit-talking after kills, like Barik's "You can never trust a man with no beard!" when he kills Fernando. I want dialogue for interacting with characters on your team, like having unique phrases sometimes for getting healed by Ying when you're Torvald. Just little things that would really help with immersion.

Only after they've actually balanced this complete pile of shit, though.
